We heard that he has apostles to carry out his mission. But, who are Hitogami’s Apostles? and why are they part of his mission? Sometimes, he looks suspicious to me and feels like he is not the right guy. Man-God, also known as Hitogami, is an important character in the anime series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.
Man-God is a minor character of the anime, and his appearance has only occurred in the dreams of his apostles. He calls himself as Human-God whenever he introduces himself, but his real name is Hitogami. Orsted, Dragon God is the enemy of Man-God. Hitogami initially does not express his hatred towards Orsted, but his intentions are clear. Hitogami is a recurring character who appears only in dreams of Rudeus in season 1.
Hitogami’s story looks minor throughout season 1, but in reality, his story is the major part of progress in the direction we would never expect. His role as a god is kind of vague, like his appearance, and even Rudeus does not think to trust him. Hitogami, after appearing in Rudeus dreams, tells him that he would help him and it is possible only if he takes his advice. Hitogami hides so many mysteries behind his grin.

Who are Hitogami’s Apostles?
As we know that, Hitogami has apostles. But, who are Hitogami’s Apostles? Hitogami’s apostles are humans who he uses to continue his mission. He has five apostles, excluding Nanahoshi Shizuka. Their names are Rudeus Greyrat, Geese Nukadia, Luke Notos Greyrat, Darius, and Reida. They all are parts of his plan, and they do not know anything about what he wants from them. They are just following him blindly except Rudeus, who always interrogates him before using his advice. Hitogami used his first three by manipulating them – Darius, Luke Notos Greyrat, and Reida. And he used them for the events in the Asura Kingdom.
Orsted knows that he is using Rudeus as his apostle after their first encounter, but he did not tell him. He also knows his powers, so he can surely say that his future sight is dependent inversely on the number of apostles used at the same time. Hitogami does not seem to use more than four at the same time, including his future. Because of Geese’s easy-going nature, Hitogami uses him as his main source of future sight. Now his control on four apostles at the same time extends his area of future sight.

Appearance and Personality
Hitogami’s appearance is the major part of his godly feature. He looks exactly like a god who has no particular body to give him an identity. But his white color body with the white background gives an impression of a god who is hollow from the inside. Like other mystical gods, his face is not revealed by him. Maybe there is a certain reason behind this too. Unlike other gods in the anime, his appearance is suspenseful for everyone. Maybe he is going to be the main part of the upcoming seasons.
Hitogami is a man-god, so he usually acts like he understands the emotions of others. His personality is supportive. He likes to behave like an ordinary happy man who just lives his life as he wants. Whenever Rudeus and Hitogami see each other, their impression comes with an opposite effect. For example, Rudeus behaves more like a god, and Hitogami behaves more like a human. Man-God also has a manipulative nature which he used to manipulate others for his certain scheme.
