Klein is Mud Dog’s coach and has now lost forty games in a row. Everything goes wrong in his team. One day, Bobby knocks out one of the team’s quarterbacks after he bullies him. Klien notices that and approaches Bobby. The coach tries his best until he persuades Bobby to play as a linebacker.
Boucher is scared, but the coach motivates him every day. The 31-year-old helps the Mud Dogs go on a winning streak, and Bobby becomes famous as a Football player. But Bobby Jnr is unable to pass the GED exam. It clarifies that there got to be a fake transcript made by the coach. The players and the fans go against Bobby, thinking him to be a cheater. The coach goes through a depression after the team gets back to square one. Bobby feels terrible, and he works hard so that he passes the GED exam. One day his mother goes into a coma. Bobby’s mama is everything, and he becomes shellshocked. He rushes to the hospital and doesn’t leave till she wakes up.
This incident made the university realize who Bobby was. They learned their mistakes and felt sad for him and his mother. Bobby is not on the field, and Mud Dogs are playing without him. They are 27-0 behind. Bobby’s mama wakes up and encourages him to get back to the field. Bobby returns and helps Mud Dog do the unthinkable!
