The Larkins is a sequel and is based on The Darling Buds of May. Like the original series, this one is also shot in the rolling hills of Kent and Surrey. But there lies a bit difference. This time, a different farm in Kent has been chosen. It is none other than Romshed Farm, which is just outside the village of Underriver in Kent. Besides this, the cast and crew were also seen to film for The Larkins at Faversham where the shops are modified to the retro shops of the 1950s period. Also not to forget to mention Walpole Bay Hotel in Broadstairs and the towns of Eynsford and West Peckham where the films have also been shot. Several scenes took place in Stonepitts Farm which is near Sevenoaks, Long Barn in Sunridge and Squerryes Court in Westerham.
