Because of how good he was to the others, he usually got help from many in gaining important information pertinent to his cases. Daniel was also having a clandestine relationship with Jessica Cortez, but ultimately they decided to break it off to protect their careers despite both still having feelings for each other.
Stephanie Sigman plays the role of Captain Jessica Cortez. Jessica had appeared in the first two seasons of the show as the commanding Officer of the L.A.P.D. Metropolitan Division as well as Hondo’s lover and ex after they broke up. Jessica wants to improve the relationship between the L.A.P.D. and the citizens of Los Angeles. By the end of the second season, she accepts an offer that she gets for an F.B.I. assignment and ent off by leaving the L.A.P.D. to go undercover. Since the actress quit the show, it was made in the storyline that Jessica decided to continue in F.B.I. and doesn’t want to see her love, David.
Alex Russell plays Officer III James Jim Street. Jim is a new transfer from the Long Beach Police Department. His mother, Karen, is in prison for murdering his father and husband as he was abusive and harmful. Following the arrest of his mother, it made it hard for Jim to be part of the Team, as well as having abandoned his duties to take care of his mother. All of this made him get removed from the Team, but eventually, he was able to earn his way back on the Team.
Lina Esco as Officer III Christina Chris Alonso, Chris is a former canine officer and one of the two female cops assigned to S.W.A.T. She serves as the Squad’s sniper and then becomes close friends with Street.
Kenny Johnson as Officer Dominique Luca, Luca comes as the third-generation S.W.A.T. officer. Originally assigned as the driver and Mechanic of the Team’s vehicle Black Betty until an injury made him join as a tactical support role.
Peter Onorati as Sergeant II Jeff Mumford, Peter had appeared in season 1 as one of the lead cast, then in season 2 as a recurring cast and in 4th as a guest. Jeff was the team leader of another S.W.A.T. Team alongside Hondo’s. He was a person who had gone through three divorces. Later in the show, he again gets engaged, but that also lasts for very little time.
Jay Harrington, as Sergeant II David “Deacon” Kay, was a ten-year veteran of the S.W.A.T. team who was passed over for promotion in favor of Hondo. He is the second in command of the Team and serves as a mentor to his younger teammates. He is the only member of the Team to have children with a total of four.
David Lim as Officer Victor Tan, Victor, was a former officer with the L.A.P.D. Vice Squad. He joined S.W.A.T. three years before the series began. In the season four finale, Victor marries his longtime girlfriend, Bonnie.
Patrick St. Esprit as Commander Robert Hicks. Patrick Appeared in the first season as a recurring member, and since then, he has been present in the series as one of the important casts. Patrick plays the role of Commander Robers Hicks, the senior Officer with the L.A.P.D. Special Operations Bureau.
Amy Farrington as Lieutenant Detective Piper Lynch: Amy was one of the regular cast members in season 3, and then she became a recurring member in season 4. She plays the role of Lieutenant Detective Piper Lynch, an experienced detective from L.A.P.D. Hollywood Division appointed by the mayor to take the position of a tactical consultant to Hondo’s Team
SWAT Series Review
The series from its very first season does not have very good reception. While the critiques are always calling it a below-average show, it still has the support of many, and that’s keeping the show running for the past seasons.
