Wanna One cr: YMC Entertainment

Wanna One rose to unfathomable popularity just a year after its debut. This South Korean boy group was formed on a very popular survival show named, Produce 101. Additionally, Produce 101 was created by CJ E&M and starts off with 101 participants, out of which only 11 make it to the finals. The survival show is very popular as it does not follow the traditional method of panel judges, and instead, the participants are ranked by the audience. In April of 2017, Produce 101 aired its second season, and the eleven talented finalists were put in a band named Wanna One. Although the group disbanded in 2018, their achievements within a year of debut still remain unmatched.

Additionally, Wanna One received the Rookie Grand Slam award in 2018. The group was accepted as the Best Newcomer at award ceremonies such as Mnet Asian Music Award, Golden Disc Awards, Seoul Music Awards, Melon Music Awards, and Gaon Chart Awards. Another shining diamond was added to their crown when they were chosen as the Best New Kpop Act of 2017 by Billboard. Their very first album, To Be One, became the third Kpop album to sell a million copies of its debut album. This was no shock, given how talented each member of Wanna One is. Three years after its disbandment, let us find out what each member of Wanna One is up to?

Where Are The Wanna One Members Now?

As mentioned earlier, Wanna One consisted of eleven members, namely Yoon Ji Sung, Ha Sungwoon, Minhyun, Ong Seongwoo, Kim Jaehwan, Kang Daniel, Park  Jihoon, Park Woojin, Bae Jinyoung, Lee Daehwi, and Guan Lin. Let us take a deep dive into the individual activities of all the Wanna One members after their disbandment.

1. Kang Daniel

One of the most popular members of Wanna One was no doubt, Kang Daniel. This talented singer was born on 10th December 1996. Additionally, Kang Daniel also finished as the winner of the second season of Produce 101. After Wanna One disbanded, Kang Daniel decided to take a six months-long break from the Kpop industry. Fans speculated that the reason behind the hiatus might have been the unnecessary blame that he had to face after Wanna One disbanded. Whatever the reason be, Kang Daniel came back stronger than ever in 2019 with solo EP i.e., extended play Color On Me. Considering how amazing it was, it took no time for Color On Me to reach the top of the Gaon Album Chart.
