Sony’s PlayStation has been dominating the gaming market for quite a long time now, and since the PlayStation 4 came out, it has done extremely well and gained tremendous popularity. There have been a few rumors about a PlayStation 5 release recently, and I am here to address those rumors. Is it coming out? And if it is coming out, how long do we have to wait before getting our hand on it?
PlayStation 5 Release Date
To put things simply, Sony is still dominating the gaming market by quite a margin right now. I don’t think there is even a need for them to go ahead an release a PlayStation 5 right now. At this year’s E3, it was rumored that the PlayStation 5 might be announced, but that turned out to be fake news as well. The PlayStation 5 is not even close to being released. Sony might have pushed for a 2019 release if the competition would’ve gotten close and but, they’re doing just fine.
That’s not to say that the PlayStation 5 will never come out though. PlayStation 5 will eventually be out, but not any time soon. If you’re one of the people waiting for the PlayStation 5 console release, I’m sorry to inform you that the console will take a few years to be out. Sony will need to announce PlayStation 5 at some point, but I think that won’t happen before 2020.
Even then, if it is announced in 2020, you won’t be able to get your hands on the console before 2021, which seems like the right time for a new console. Sony is working hard to improve the hardware in order to deliver the best results possible, but PlayStation 5 definitely won’t be rushed. They will take their time with this project, and once they think the PlayStation 4 has served its purpose and that the PlayStation 5 is needed, it will be available for all of us to buy.
So for those living in the USA, UK, Australia, India, and any other part of the world for that matter, and wondering when the PlayStation 5 will be out, you have to wait until 2021 at least.
