When Does The Punisher Season 2 Come Out?

Fans of The Punisher, I should tell you that the wait is finally over. Shooting for Season 2 has been wrapped up. Season 1 of the series awed both the critics and the audiences with its storyline and hence Season 2 renewal didn’t come as a surprise. The renewal announcement for Season 2 of The Punisher was made on December 12, 2017. In terms first, of the Series, we saw the badass Frank Castle ( Jon Bernthal) take his revenge. What an exhilarating experience that was!

The Punisher follows the line of Daredevil to go into a Second Season at Netflix. However, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist add to the list. Filming for Season 2 of The Punisher began on July 20′ 2018. In this post, we’ll talk about all the reportage done on The Punisher. I must warn you of spoilers ahead. Please read at your own risk.

The Punisher Season 2: Release Date

An interesting and quaint marketing campaign that’s been decided for the show is that makers do not announce the release date until the last minute. Season 2 will have the same modus operandi. So guess the release date, your guess is as good as mine. It took around two years for Luke Cage to get the Second run, so do not expect the show to air anytime in 2018. An early 2019 release is the best that one could hope for.

The Punisher Season 2: Cast

Ben Barnes, Jon Bernthal will return for Season 2. Actors Amber Rose Revah and Jason R Moore have both been confirmed to return as Dinah Madani and Curtis Hoyle, respectively. Amongst new additions to the show Floriana Lima of Supergirl’s fame will join the show as Krista Dumont, a psychotherapist. Besides her, Josh Stewart will enter as John Pilgrim and Scream’s Giorgia Whigham will star as Amy Bendix. Frank’s dog Max will return too.

The Punisher Season 2: Plot

Last I heard Steve Lightfoot was indecisive about who the villain was going to be. “One of the villains I love is Barracuda [from Garth Ennis’s Punisher MAX series]. I think he’s great fun. I also really like O’Brien. I thought she was always really cool. There are so many great characters there. It’s a very fun sandbox to play in.” Now, that’s just meant to confuse us further.

Ben Barnes will play a part as some villain. I took this cue from the video set that was shown to us in May of iconic comic villains in action. Whoever that is, let’s hope he’s done Justice to his part. Rest of the plot details have been kept strictly under the wraps. We’ll update this page accordingly.
