Hey everyone! Attack on Titan Season 3’s last episode is airing later today, and I know that you’re all very excited for it. You should be, as it is going to be an extremely great episode. Attack on Titan Season 3 Episode 12 has been hyped up to be a contender for Episode of the Year.
Attack on Titan Season 3 Return
A total of 15 Animation Directors have worked on the episode, and with a strong episode direction, led by Norihiro Naganuma, the person who directed Mahoutsukai no Yome and the finale of Megalo Box, it does imply that the episode is now going to be incredible. I’m already excited for it and have been for days now, but after today’s episode, you may be left with a sour taste in your mouth, because Attack on Titan Season 3 is ending here. Yes, you heard me right. Attack on Titan Season 3 is going to take an apparently long Hiatus.
But didn’t they say we were going to get 24 episodes in Attack on Titan Season 3? Well, yeah. That’s what we reported earlier as well, and to be fair, that is true. Attack on Titan Season 3 is going to have 24 episodes, but not as you think. Attack on Titan Season 3 is actually a split-cour anime, meaning the second half of the season will come out after a few months.
If you’re a fan of Tokyo Ghoul re, you probably watched the first season back in April, and are now watching the second season, right. Well, it’s actually the same season, with a total of 24 episodes, split into two parts. Overlord did the same thing this year, and now Wit Studio is doing the same thing with Attack on Titan. The show will come out with Season 4 shortly. But, when exactly is that going to be? In my opinion, the show is going to return in January 2019.
That makes sense to me because the Studio probably needs time to produce the second half of the third season properly. They will need a couple of months to pull this off. Believe me; this break was really needed. Otherwise, the most important arc in Attack on Titan history would’ve been butchered. I’m glad they’re taking a break.
