When will Lego Masters Season 3 release? What is Lego Masters? Who hosts Lego Masters? If you have all these questions, we have the answers. Firstly, the popular toy franchise by Danish company Lego partnered with American entertainment Fox to recreate a US version of this wildly popular British show. If you’re into Legos and love to see how your creative side could be bolstered, this is the show for you.
Produced by names of the level of the Hollywood crême-de-la-crême like Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner, this show will take you each week on a creative journey. Initially launched in 2021, the show is now well-embarked on a third season with lots of games, challenges, and surprises. Now, without any further ado, let’s begin taking a look at what Lego Masters USA has to offer.
What Is Lego Masters?
American competition reality show “Lego Masters” brings you in a fun format a challenge between two teams. Essentially, each group must build some fantastic, eye-popping Lego creation with a given time within a time period. What’s cool about this is that after the time is up, each contesting group must show what they created to the host. But that’s not all. The host is joined by two judges who evaluate several aspects. As each team moves on, they play each other for the grand prize of US$ 100.000. How cool is that?
Who Are The Judges? How Does That Work In Lego Masters?
Host Will Arnett has two super-qualified experts from the Lego Group evaluate what each team did in every chapter. Judge Amy Corbett is a senior manager at The Lego Group, and Judge Jamie Berard is a Lego Creator Expert who’s in charge of everything related to the Lego Architecture design team at that company. This means that these two know every single thing about those plastic building blocks.
Who Is Brickmaster Amy Corbett?
Let’s expand a little on Amy Corbett. Firstly, she’s from Scotland. A northern born and raised, and that includes her academic credentials. This gal doesn’t play with Legos. She’s serious fun. She studied Product Design Engineering at the University of Glasgow, worked in Africa for an NGO, worked with Engineers without Borders, and went on to work for the Lego Group ten years ago. Corbett designs new product lines. That means that whenever you see a new Lego set on the shelf, that’s her fault. One of her greatest hits at the company are the Lego Disney and Lego Friends lines. Also, she was part of The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part concept team.
Who Is Will Arnett?
Canadian comedy actor Will Arnett is the Host of Lego Masters USA. If you’re not familiar with Will, maybe you remember him from his role as Gob Bluth in Arrested Development or for his voice in animated features like BoJack Horseman, Ice Age, Ratatouille, Horton Hears a Who! and Despicable Me. He also has a podcast called “SmartLess”. More recently, he got a gig with The Lego Group and was hired to work as the host for Lego Masters in Fox Network.
When contacted by Fox to do this show, Will Arnett expressed his joy. He thinks that after a decade of Lego movies and he felt it was the right thing to do. Although a new gig for the man, he has a lot of fun doing it. You can tell from the first couple of seasons. Also, his appearances at Comic-Con and interviews prove just how cool it is to get paid to watch and play with the best that the Lego Group can offer.
Who Can Be At Lego Masters?
Not everybody can be a Lego Master. Not only do you need a big Lego set. But you also need a nice set of skills, and you need to be 18 years or older and have a big team. So, no solo gaming! Also, Fox taxes applications for Lego Masters via its website. Firstly, the production crew opened up an initial round and called for creative teams to submit their entries. All entries had to be fully processed by January 1, 2022. Initially, for the upcoming third season, the number of teams was increased.
For season three, we will see contestants from all across the United States display their talents and skills in the creation of beautiful and crafty Lego scenes. And that means from wide cities to sculptures, trains, moving dragons, flying dragons, and much more. Will Arnett, Brickmasters, Amy Corbett, and Jamie Berard will be there to evaluate every aspect of this, and as the series progresses, we will see who’s the best.
Lego Masters Format
Lego builders start competing against one another in pairs on the show. Each episode has a specific theme around which the contestants must construct their structures. Based on their performances, the judges select the top team and the bottom two teams for that week. Teams begin to be eliminated one by one a week after the other. The contestants, on the other hand, have a chance to win the Golden Brick, which grants them immunity from elimination at any time.
The Golden Brick becomes accessible for other contenders to earn once the previous holders of the Golden Brick have used their privilege. For the first two seasons, the show’s format remained largely unchanged. As a result, we anticipate Season 3 to follow a similar pattern. In the new season, a new set of 10-12 teams will compete for the Lego Masters trophy and a $100,000 cash prize.
Season 3 Might Have More Guest Stars
The upcoming third season might see even more guest stars. The past seasons saw Jewess actress Mayim Bialik (“Blossom,” “The Big Bang Theory”), Nicole Byer, Terry Crews, Chris Miller, and Phil Lord. Moreover, the upcoming season might also include special themes from aspects covered by Lego-like Star Wars or other franchises. So, if in the past you saw C3PO and Chewbacca, don’t be surprised if we see some Ninjago or maybe Will Ferrell pop up some time. That’d be really cool! One thing we definitely won’t see is Will Arnett building something; although a Lego enthusiast, he admits he’s no rival to the crews that participate in this wildly entertaining program.
