Black-centered comedy Grown-ish Season 4 Episode 11 returns after its midseason break. If you’re not familiar with this program, it is a spin-off of the ABC sitcom “Black-ish” —now on its final season— that follows the life of Zoey Johnson, the eldest daughter of ‘Dre Johnson. Moreover, in this show, Zoey explores adulthood and discovers that growing up isn’t as cool as many people think it is.
Grown-ish is a production of Kenya Barris and Larry Wilmore in conjunction with Cinema Gypsy Productions, Khalabo In Society, and Principato Young Entertainment. Moreover, Anthony Anderson —who’s in Black-ish— is also executive producing this show which stars several other actors from Black-ish as well. Now, without any further ado, let’s begin taking a look at what this episode has in store.
Grown-ish Season 4 Episode 10 Recap
Aaron drives to a restaurant the night of the party and orders one more drink and something to eat while reflecting on what happened the night before. Zoey describes how she thought doing an internship with her ex-boyfriend would make her current boyfriend happy. Aaron watches Zoey call him from the outside as she walks away, but he declines the call.
Vivek and Doug arrive at Aaron’s house the next day to check on him. They say he might have lost his job, but Aaron tells Doug he doesn’t have a case because he’s sleeping with Luka’s sister in secret. Aaron is reassured that Luka is to blame, but Doug isn’t so convinced. Pops and Ruby enquire as to why Zoey has returned home. She admits to having issues with Aaron, and Ruby warns her that if she doesn’t treat him well, she will. Jazz, meanwhile, awakens in Des’ bed, surprised but pleased. She leaves after they tell her they might get used to seeing her there.
Ruby’s Admissions
Ruby admits to Zoey that she crushed Aaron’s ego, but Pops tells her that a man who requires ego strokes is a weak man. Ruby disagrees, reminding Earl that stroking his ego was necessary several times when they were younger. Nomi tells Ana at her roommate’s house that seeing Phil only confirmed her suspicions that he’s a jerk. Ana discovers Vivek’s flowers in the refrigerator and crumples the card before Nomi notices. Aaron should speak to Zoey before making any hasty decisions concerning their relationship, according to Vivek and Doug. He finally admits that he requires to clear it up and schedules an appointment with Luca first. Luca refuses to let him in, but Vivek and Doug persuade him that he needs to talk.
Aaron’s Hearsay
Aaron claims Luca tries to sneak back in to steal Zoey away from him when Doug mediates a conversation between them, but Luca tells him he’s projecting because that’s what he did when Zoey was with Luca. Aaron recognizes that he was interfering just as much, if not more than Luca is now. He apologizes hesitantly, and Luca accepts before admitting that he may have been in the wrong as well. Doug spills the beans about Kiela and him smashing just as they’re getting along, and Luca punches him.
Jazz calls Chloe to tell her about staying the night with Des, and she admits it was partly due to seeing Doug with Kiela. Sky advises her to try something new with Des, and Jazz agrees. After punching Doug, Luca tells him that an apology won’t help and that all three of them should leave. He’s decided to leave the situation because he’s the only one who has a problem with his sister and Doug together.
