The new season of the Apex Legends is upon us. When will Apex Legends Season 12 release? What is the new season’s name, if it has any? Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale video game and third game set in the Titanfall franchise’s universe. Respawn Entertainment developed this game and released it in February 2019. Apex Legends had no marketing before its release, and everybody believed it to be a sequel to Titanfall 2.
Apex Legends is very different from the other battle royale game, as it allowed the players to select legends. The legends are characters with different abilities and have their distinct ultimate. All the legends have three abilities and they are passive ability, tactical ability, and an ultimate ability. Apex is also different as it has only 20 squads of three players each. The game has three game modes which are Unranked, Ranked, and Arenas. The game has a total of 19 legends, and a new one is coming in the new season. Apex Legends received positive reviews from fans and critics and has over 100 million players.

With yesterday’s new Stories from Outlands video, we know almost everything about the new season for the Apex Legends. Let us discuss what are the things coming to the Apex Legends Season 12, from new legend to new LTMs.
New Legend
With the new Stories from the Outlands named Judgement, the new legend arriving in the game is none other than the closest and childhood friend of Walter “Fuse” Fitzroy Jr, Margaret “Mad Maggie” Kohere.
New Legend
She is from the planet called Salvo, where she and Fuse grew together. Mad Maggie first appeared in the Apex Legends Season 8, when Fuse arrived in Kings Canyon on an IMS Thermopylae. She hijacked it and demanded the other legends to bring his other arm. She took over and hosted the Apex Games in season 8. In the comics of Season 8, she supposedly died from falling after she refused help from Fuse.
In Season 11, the teaser for the new legend appeared when the dog fight of two jet fighters occurred. During the fight, one of the jet fighters gets shot and, one wing falls down to the ground. The wing has the logo of the Salvo.
Nicola Kawana as Mad Maggie
Nicola Kawana will Voice the Mad Maggie in season 12 of Apex Legends.
The developers have not yet revealed her abilities at the moment, but the wait will not be that long as the season’s launch trailer will explain everything about the new legend.
Map Rotation
With every new season, Apex Legends gets a new map rotation. The new season will bring back Olympus, which was not in season 11. Respawn Entertainment has teased that the Olympus will have something different from what we’ve seen so far. Maybe they will start destroying the Olympus as they did with Kings Canyon and World’s Edge. MAYBE.
Apex Legends Olympus
Olympus is the only map currently confirmed, but the newest map, Storm Point, will surely be in the game as it just came out. Maybe there will be three map rotations like they did in Season 10.
New Limited Time Mode
A new limited-time game mode is coming with the new season in Apex Legends called Control. In Control, the nine teams of three players each will fight to hold and control the points.
New LTM
The team will go in the Control mode with their select loadouts. There will be infinite respawn in this mode.
Rewards
With the release of season 12, the Apex Legends will be three years old. To celebrate this, Respawn will reward the players with Legend’s thematic packs for three weeks whenever they log in to Apex Legends. The legends are:
- Octane – Thematic packs x 3. From 8 February to 15 February.
- Wattson – Thematic packs x 3. From 15 February to 22 February
- Valkyrie – Thematic packs x 3 and a legendary pack. From 22 February to 1 March.
Apex Legends Season 12 Rewards
Unfortunately, the Season 12 of Apex Legends is not bringing in any new weapon.

Apex Legends Season 12 Release Date
What is the new season’s name, if it has any? Apex Legends Season 12 will be known as Defiance with the tagline “Madness Takes Control.”
Mad Maggie
Apex Legends Season 12 Defiance’s launch trailer will release on 27 January 2022. The season will launch on 8 February 2022.
