At what age did Itachi join Anbu? What is he like? What anime is he from? Itachi Uchiha was one of the most sanctimonious characters in all of Naruto. Itachi was born during Third Second Great Ninja War which turned him into a pacifist. At a very young age, Itachi witnessed death and suffering caused due to Third Great Ninja War. He started questioning the concept of war itself. All of it just shows how much Itachi valued life and his maturity at such a young age. Itachi was one of the most gifted shinobi and was considered a prodigy, just like Shisui Uchiha. Itachi was even seen jumping off a cliff, not because he wanted to die but because he wanted to understand the meaning and value of life after witnessing so much death and suffering at the mere age of 4.
It’s no secret that Itachi was psychologically disturbed, which links directly with his childhood. At the mere age of 4, the first thing that Itachi learns about is war, how people kill each other for diverse reasons. In my opinion, if Fugaku Uchiha, Itachi’s father, hadn’t taken him to the battlefield, Itachi wouldn’t be soo deeply Traumatized. Itachi was incredibly skilled in hiding his emotions, which made him the most mysterious character in Naruto verse. Sasuke’s birth gave him a purpose, a purpose of protecting his little brother, and his idea of achieving peace was born. So, at what age did Itachi join Anbu?
At what age did Itachi join Anbu?
Itachi Uchiha, as mentioned above, was an exceptional shinobi and his achievements speak for themselves. Itachi graduated from the academy at the age of 7. He mastered Sharingan at the age of 8. Itachi passed chunin exams at the age of 10. Itachi’s potential couldn’t stay hidden from Anbu as well. At the age of 11, Itachi joined Anbu, and by the age of 13, Itachi was made Anbu captain. He was praised highly by his father for this achievement.
Everybody had different agenda to be fulfilled through Itachi. Fugaku wanted him to spy on the Third Hokage, and Danzo wanted him to keep an eye on the Uchiha clan as they were planning a Coup de’tat to overthrow Konoha’s leadership. Itachi found out that a Coup de’tat could lead to another Ninja war. So, Itachi started spying on the Uchiha clan instead of passing the information to the Third Hokage and the Konoha Elders.
During this time, Itachi began to act strangely, not attending the clan meetings, speaking out against the clan. Itachi became the Prime suspect for the murder of Shisui Uchiha, but in reality, he drowned himself in the Naka River, entrusting his remaining Mangekyou Sharingan to Itachi. The other one was stolen by Danzo. That was when Itachi unlocked his Mangekyou Sharingan. Itachi also assisted Shisui in leading the clan to believe that his eyes were destroyed. Due to this, the clan lost hope in Itachi.
Amidst all this, Third Hokage’s attempt to negotiate a bloodless end to hostilities between two parties was proving to be ineffective. Against Third Hokage’s wishes, Danzo and Konoha Elders ordered Itachi to exterminate the Uchiha clan. Itachi wipes out his whole clan, only leaving Sasuke as the only survivor. Before the night of the massacre, Itachi found out about the existence of Madara Uchiha, who was attempting to reignite the flames of war in Konoha. In exchange for not attacking Konoha, Itachi offered to help Obito in getting revenge against the Uchiha clan, who had turned their back on him decades earlier, to which Obito agreed.

More about Itachi
Itachi was highly skilled in Genjutsu. Even though he is considered a hero among fans, I believe that Itachi died filled with regrets. Regret for not telling Sasuke the truth. If he had just trusted Sasuke with the truth, maybe he wouldn’t have died either. Itachi thought that his death by his hands would make him the hero of Konoha, and Konoha would forgive his crimes, but instead, Sasuke decided to destroy Konoha.
