41-year-old Andy Currie brought down a liter of the bubbly beverage each day and drank a further nine liters every day.

He developed his addiction in his 20s.

“I've always loved the taste of a cold Pepsi. Nothing could beat it and I just got hooked. I work nights, so I always liked the sugar rush to keep me going. I'd go through four or five two-litre bottles of Pepsi every day.”

He uncovered that he burned through $25 daily on Pepsi, adding up to around $8,500 per year.

Through exercise and diet, he did try and figure out how to shed 28 pounds, yet he actually couldn't quit drinking Pepsi.

Therapist David Kilmurry identified Currie as having Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.

Soon after one online meeting, Mr. Currie was relieved and drank water for the first time in twenty years.
