Hugh Jackman 'Frustratingly' Tests Positive for COVID 1 Day After the Tony Awards

Hugh Jackman tested positive for COVID-19 one day after attending the Tony Awards.

On Monday, Jackman informed fans of his coronavirus diagnosis via Instagram.

Jackman is now starring on Broadway as Professor Harold Hill in The Music Man,

Added that Max Clayton, who is his back-up, will fill in for him.

The Australian actor stated that he intended his statement to serve as "another reminder",

That "the real heroes of Broadway are our standbys, our understudies, and swings."

With a gesture to River City, the small hamlet where The Music Man is set,

“Have the nicest time," Jackman remarked, adding,

"I'll be back in River City as soon as I can."

Jackman also congratulated Myles Frost on the Tony Awards in another Instagram story.

He also had a special message for host Ariana DeBose, who he said "crushed it" at the show.
