The title alone makes us curious: “It’s Not What You Think.” What in the world does it even mean? It’s definitely enough to make us raise an eyebrow, and that’s before we even get into the broader plot. This episode will see Jared Padalecki’s main character attempting to find out who is observing his house, let alone why. Is Walker based upon a true story?
The film ‘Walker’ is not based on a genuine story. The criminal program is based on the Chuck Norris film ‘Walker, Texas Ranger,’ which is one of the most renowned neo Western television programs of all time. Furthermore, ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ is based on the 1983 Western picture ‘Lone Wolf McQuade,’ in which Norris also stars. ‘Lone Wolf McQuade’ is mostly an action picture that emphasizes the good-guy-vs-bad-guy cliche with El Paso as the setting. ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ follows in its wake, immortalizing Norris’ Walker as the ideal crime-fighting, morally upright, and conventionally male hero. The eight-season series also generated a film named ‘Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire.’ The plots in both the film and the television show are made up, but they are really entertaining.
‘Walker’ deviates from its predecessors and, maybe, achieves reality by rejecting the stereotype of the always surefooted hero who views violence against adversaries as the ethically just road and his own conventional masculinity as the ultimate sign of his duty. Padalecki’s Walker is a badass, but he has an emotional depth that Norris’ Walker most likely lacks due to the constraints of the 1990s setting. Furthermore, The CW show’s study of emotional and professional interactions adds to its allure. It enables other characters to develop while Walker remains the primary center. Micki Ramirez (Lindsey Morgan) is a rare depiction of the many women and minorities that serve in the Texas Ranger Division.
Walker season 2 episode 3 recap
Who’s up for some fiery chili and family drama? In Walker Season 2 Episode 3, Jared Padalecki and Molly Hagan both brought their A-game. As they recounted the fire at the Davidson’s years ago and the enmity that arose as a result of it, the mother and pair confronted some unpleasant feelings. Cordell is experiencing nightmares again as a result of his guilt over the farm fire. He has been since the Davidsons returned.
Every time he comes close to a fire, it reacts to him. August mistakenly placed a soapy sponge too close to the burner as the Walkers were making Abby’s iconic chili, and it almost caught fire. Cordell overreacted, shouted at his kid, and hurried away since he had a history with fire. Bonham became aware of what had occurred and thought that Cordell’s nightmares had returned. Cordell said he could still hear Merv screaming for rescue.
Chili cook-off, Walker style
Cordell would go to any length to alleviate his guilt, even inviting Gail Davidson to the chili stir fry, even if it meant upsetting the rest of his family. Cordell may be impetuous, but he is the mediator, and he desired a new beginning for the two families.
However, Abby and Bonham were correct. The Davidsons, particularly Gail Davidson and Dan Miller, are usually up to something and like playing mind games.
Dan warned Cordell, claiming that welcoming them would not erase what he had done all those years before. Dab wasn’t around either all those years ago. He seemed like a menacing jealous spouse who was upset that Cordell was getting along with Denice. If looks could kill, Abby and Gail continued staring at one of the others from their chili workstations, and things became much worse when Dan collided with Liam and chili poured all over him.
Fight off
Because Dan was insulting Cordell’s bar and the annual Harvest Fest, both Bonham and Liam were prepared to take the fight outdoors.
That enraged the ladies even more. They were each trying to prove something. Abby wanted to have her family’s dish included on the menu of her son’s bar and restaurant. Gail wanted to show to her family that they belonged after being treated as outsiders for so long. Cordell was in a pickle. He wanted his mother to win without a doubt, but he felt obligated to the Davidsons to make up for all they had lost because of that one night.
Cordell bursts down in tears.
Cordell broke down weeping, saying he recalled taking a light to the barn, and he wondered if he had caused a fire and if they weren’t evil people. That’s a huge load to bear for so many years, and I liked how Abby simply hugged him, telling him that it was all an accident. It was such a lovely mother-son scenario. Micki was still in mourning over Garrison and was not hoping to play 20 questions with Trey. The poor man really wants his lover back, and she is emotionally closed off.
Cordell is one of the very few individuals who understood Micki’s situation. As Trey said, coming from undercover is akin to returning from combat, but it differs in that you have a whole other persona and people you begin to care about. Cordell persuades her to attend Harvest Fest, but although she is pleased to see Trey, she keeps things light by challenging him to a game of darts rather than having a serious chat. Back home, Micki doesn’t believe anybody trusts her. Trey came down to check on her and inadvertently placed people’s lives in jeopardy.

Micki
She appreciated his good intentions and that he was thinking about her. She raced out of the room when she heard the band perform a tune that reminded her of Garrison. It was great to watch Abby and Micki get along. Abby recognizes the value of loving more than one guy in her life and the need of letting go. She gave Micki some sound advice, telling her to put herself first. Micki isn’t ready to speak to Trey about her ex yet, but they can maybe work through it together when she is.
Serrano’s goons move in.
Serrano’s thugs were keeping an eye on the Walker’s Ranch. They discovered Stella and Colton were caring for a horse together, Dan Miller was spying about the property, and the Walkers were working on sealing up Serrano. This meant they needed a new buyer who despised the Walkers and would assassinate Cordell. Those thugs weren’t really loyal to one another. He shot the other as soon as one of them revealed the information. Was anyone surprised that Dan Miller was the new buyer? Cordell irritates him to no end. I’m curious what Denice would think if she finds out he attempted to murder Cordell, just like the goon. She is one of those working to bring the families together.
Remember that someone is spying on the Walkers.
The first season of “Walker” concludes Emily’s tale and sees Walker make an attempt to reconcile with his family. It does, however, leave a few narrative strands hanging for Season 2. The season finale’s last scene, which shows that someone has concealed surveillance cameras all around the Walker family property to watch them, is by far the largest cliffhanger. Without their awareness, the cameras seem to be focusing on Walker, his children, and his parents. We also observe an unidentified individual inspecting the camera feeds. However, their identity is not immediately evident. Is this a member of the Del Rio crime syndicate? Or is it another Northside Nation supporter? Is this someone altogether different? It’s reasonable to conclude that this storyline surprise will play a significant part in this season.
