Season 6 renewal of History channel’s Vikings came before the premiere of Season 5; such is the aura of this show. Not only that, but we also heard the news that the lead female Katheryn Winnick would direct Season 6 of Vikings. Vikings, Season 5 part 2 is returning next month, i.e., November-from November 28th, 2018 on History Channel, to be precise. Fans in the UK can catch Vikings on Amazon Prime, a day afterward i.e., November 29th. This confirmation about Season 5, part 2 was made in the month July of 2018. With Katheryn Winnick’s directorial debut things seem to be getting hype for Vikings. Fans can barely contain their excitement for the same.
Vikings Season 6: Release Date Discussion
We don’t have a set release date for Vikings Season 6 now. Though History Channel hasn’t made any confirmation but we surely can take a wild guess. From Seasons 2-4 Vikings was pretty steady with its air date, each made it to History Channel on February 2014, 2015 and 2016 respectively. But as for Season 5, it shifted to November slot of 2017 as part 2 of Season 5 will air in November. So we might get to see Season 6, Part 1 in November of 2019, if all goes well. In other, we could also wait for an official confirmation.
Vikings Season 6, Part 1: Episodes
For Season 6, 20 episodes have been commissioned in all by History Channel. Now since Vikings is divisible into two parts, part 1 that airs next year will see ten episodes. Katheryn Winnick will direct one of these. Filming for Season 6 began earlier in County Wicklow Ireland, and Johnson is reported to be joining the cast soon. Creator Michael Hirst has written Season 6. Season 1 of Vikings had a total of 9 episodes only, from Season 2 and 3 had ten episodes. Season 4 and five were divided into two parts, ten episodes for each part. Season 6 is going to follow the same pattern.

Eric Johnson from Fifty Shades of Grey is included in Vikings Season 6. He will play the role a villain, a warrior with impressive martial arts skills and Sharp wits. Russian superstar Danila Kozlovsky will join the cast too. Rollo is played by Clive Standen. Queen Lagertha by Katheryn Winnick. Ivar the Boneless by Alex Høgh Andersen. Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Bishop Heahmund, Peter Franzén as Harald Finehair and Marco Ilsø as Hvitserk.
