History Channel’s Vikings is one the most thrilling shows so far. It’s cold-blooded in its depiction of warts ‘n’ brutality of the Norse warriors. Michael Hirst has certainly won our hearts with his show. The Season 5 part 1 aired and now, Vikings is on a mid Season hiatus. So today we shall talk all we know so far about Vikings Season 5 Part 2. Must warn you of the spoilers. You may know that Season 5 is scheduled to be released this year only. So let’s dive right into it, shall we?
Now Season 5 of Vikings saw part 1 airs on History Channel recently. I have an official date for you for Season 5 Part 2 of the Vikings. At the recently held San Diego Comic-Con we were treated with an air date. So guys, November 28 in the US is when Vikings will be back. The show is streamed on Amazon Prime, and will likely be released the following day on November 29.
Do we have a mid Season trailer? Yeah. Watch it here. Again, it revealed to us at SDCC Comic Con.
Gives us an insight into Kattegat under Ivar’s reign. Ivar is dressed in a gown, and his face is painted, and he commands People of Kattegat to hail him. He then calls himself Ivar the Boneless.
So is there going to be a Season 6 of Vikings, you ask? Hell yeah. History Channel has already commissioned a Season 6 of Vikings. Not only that, our beloved regular Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha) makes her directorial debut. Kat will direct one of the 20 episodes in season 6 (below). Filming for the same begins in October of 2018. Ireland is the filming location.
To decide on the fate of people of Kattegat, Vikings Season 5 will see a total number of 10 episodes, average Amazon Prime format.
Lagertha is still hoping to be The Queen someday, even after being defeated by Ivar.
Part 1 finale left us on a cliffhanger. Rollo (Clive Standen) returned back to Kattegat. This was plain confusing for the majority of us. But Clive has an answer for this. According to him, he’s been appointed as a new ruler of this own country. Normandy, on the other hand, has his people and they prioritize him. And as goes for Rollo, he still has some unfinished family business that he would like to put an end to.
Michael Hirst too had something on say on the cliffhanger, and Hirst says he’s back to deal with the un dealt things of the past. The questions about his relationship with Lagertha need to be answered.
