Vanderpump Rules revolves around Lisa Vanderpump and her staff at her restaurants SUR Restaurant & Lounge, Pump Restaurant, and Tom Tom Restaurant & Bar in West Hollywood, California. It follows the cast working on building their future in show business and becoming entangled in interpersonal drama. The show initially centered on new server Scheana and her relationships with established employees Kristen, Katie, Tom Sandoval, Stassi, and Jax. It was later announced by Andy Cohen on February 4th, 2013, Watch What Happens Live! Episode that there would be a Vanderpump Rules reunion, which was filmed on February 9th, 2013.
The second season debut was a two-hour crossover episode with the fourth season premiere of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. The second season reunion was filmed on January 10th, 2014. The third and fourth season premiered on November 3rd, 2014, and November 2nd, 2015, respectively. The tenth episode of the fifth season titled “Summer House Rules”, served as a crossover preview to Summer House. During the seventh season, Vanderpump partnered with cast members Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz to open a new bar in West Hollywood, California, called Tom Tom Restaurant & Bar. The eighth season, which featured five new cast members, Reunion was recorded virtually, on Zoom, due to the pandemic.
On June 9th, 2020, it was announced that original cast members Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired, after accusations made by former co-star Faith Stowers, who claimed that the two women filed a false police report against her for a crime she did not commit. It was also announced that Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were leaving after the eighth season because of past racist Twitter posts. On December 4th, 2020, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright were also fired. After production for season nine was put on hold, Dayna Kathan confirmed that she would be leaving the show. The ninth season premiered on September 28th, 2021.
Season 9 Recap
The ninth season began with Lisa Vanderpump and her staff from SUR raising a toast in the half-hour special from the past three seasons. The viewers get caught up in all the conflicts, laughter, relationships, affairs, and of course, the parties that follow. We see everything from new businesses to old romances, and of course, there is always drama just around the corner. The viewers take a trip down the sunset strip to dive into the lives of the wild group of friends. We later see Scheana and Lala as they attempt to mend their friendship after an explosive public feud, while James must answer to Lisa for lashing out at her son. The Toms hatch a plan to open their own bar, but tensions flare when Katie questions Sandoval’s vision. Later, Ariana refuses to back down when Lala trashes her at Scheana’s birthday party.
Next, Schwartz comes clean about pitting Katie against Sandoval, while Ariana confides in Lisa about her deep-seeded issues with Lala. Meanwhile, Sandoval helps James plan an epic vacation to Palm Springs so that he can propose to Raquel, but Randall’s beef with Schwartz and Lala’s feuds with Ariana and Charli threaten to derail the trip. Later Schwartz tries to regain his confidence and Lala and Randall’s pickleball tournament. While Sandoval and James surprise the group with an elaborate music festival at Coachella, after which James proposes to Raquel.
Then Sandoval goes the extra mile to help Schwartz produce his fertility specimen, while Lala expresses her concerns to Scheana over Brock’s sordid past. James and Raquel host a family engagement dinner, but Raquel’s sister worries that she will spend her life fixing James’ problems. When Lisa inquires about Katie’s role in the Toms new business, an explosive argument erupts between Sandoval and Katie, which leaves Schwartz torn between his wife and his best friend.
Later, James encourages Raquel to confront her biggest bully, while Katie and Schwartz consult a fertility doctor about their chances of conceiving. Lisa throws an elegant tea party at Villa Rose so that she can meet Scheana and Lala’s babies, but the afternoon is turned upside down when Lala reveals a dark secret about Brock’s character. She then comes under fire at a girls’ night for continuing to question Scheana’s relationship, while Brock must answer to Lisa after the darkness in his past is revealed.
The Reunion was an explosive first hour of the Vanderpump Rules reunion. Raquel and James made a jaw-dropping announcement, which leaves their friends shaken to the core, While Sandoval and Katie clash over their control issues about the bar and Tom Schwartz. Scheana is called out by Charli for placing restrictions on their friendship, while Lisa opened up about becoming a grandmother for the first time. And James is held accountable, by Brock, for his anger issues.
In the 17th episode, the Reunion came to an electrifying conclusion as Brock and Scheana defend their plan to get married during James and Raquel’s engagement weekend. While Lala spills scandalous secrets about the end of her relationship with Randall, Katy gets unleashed on by Ariana for questioning her integrity. In the end, James and Raquel share an emotional moment before going their separate ways. The 17th episode, which was the finale, was just as dramatic and entertaining as the viewers expected. The entire two-part Reunion was as entertaining and enjoyable as ever, which is always expected from the show.

Vanderpump Rules Season 10: Release Date
As season nine ended, fans have been wondering if there will be a new season of Vanderpump Rules. Considering that the ninth season just ended a few days ago, the show has not been renewed for a tenth season yet. However, it is still early, and it has not been canceled yet either. The ninth season ended with a bang, and the finale received very good ratings. If and when the show is renewed for the tenth season, it will most probably be announced by March or April this year. If it is renewed, it will probably premiere by the end of this year in November or the beginning of next year, considering there are no further production delays due to the pandemic.
What to expect?
If and when there is the tenth season of Vanderpump Rules, we can most definitely expect all the drama, scheming, and gossip for which the show is known. It will be interesting to see if James and Raquel will reconcile or at the very least remain friends in the new season. The same goes for Randall and Lala as well, and it will also be exciting to watch how the feud between Katie and Ariana turns out and what new feuds are there in store for us in the new season. We are also left to watch and find out how Brock and Scheana’s marriage turns out and what James does about his anger issues. We also have to watch and find out how Scheana and Charli’s friendship pans out.
