TVXQ’s Changmin is back with a surprise for his fans. The South Korean singer-songwriter recently spoke out at a press conference about his recently launched album. In it, he talks about the various sides of his vocals and how he exercised them to bring newness to the song. Also, in this press conference, his friend as well as fellow TVXQ member Yunho was the MC. After a long span of time, the album has been released, and fans are wishing the artist the best results. The first solo release of Changmin, Devil is the remake of the same song by Swedish artist Alex Runo, with the same name.
The comeback took the charts by storm as only on the next day of the press conference, that is on 14th January 2022, Devil had already made its entry on the charts, and that to hit the number 1 spot on iTunes Top Album Charts in 14 regions. It can be expected that it will be break many records.
TVXQ Changmin Talks About His Album
Recently, a piece of news made it to the headlines that Changmin had launched his new solo mini-album. ‘Devil’ is the main track from his recently launched mini album. He talked about it at an online press conference about his album. He said that he prepared it with extreme care as it was his first album that he was released after quite some time.
Also, with the new year, this was the first album released by SM Entertainment, so naturally, he is very excited about it. He is grateful for this honor as it is the first album released by the entertainment company in this new year. According to Changmin, since currently there are few opportunities to communicate with fans, he wanted to give it his all and portray all he could in this album. Not only this, he tried to broaden his horizons by taking part in shows as a radio show as well.
For any artist, the support of their fans is their biggest strength. So Changmin also got motivated when his fans liked his work. While talking about his album, Changmin mentioned, rather than making something up, he preferred to put forward his diverse vocals. He wanted to show something cool and different sides of his personality as well. In this album, he had shown his unseen sides, and fans will surely like it.
He said while there is a sense of coolness and comfort, there is also a sense of sexiness in him. He is hopeful about his work. Talking about his title track, he said that he is still at an age and has a body where he can perform with energy. MC Yunho made a comment that Changmin is like a vending machine and no matter which button one presses, he still will be able to get that flavor out.
While talking about Changmin, his high notes do deserve a special mention. It is one of the many aspects that he’s well known for. He said that while he explores different versions of his voice, it cracks sometimes, which he tackles while he is practicing. He does admit that his high notes are responsible for creating a major part of his identity not only in this album, however also in the TVXQ albums.
About His New Single’ Devil’
The lead single from the album with the same name, Devil is already making its presence felt in the charts. One of the clips from the MV showcases Changmin in the middle of a dark, empty forest, and other dancers are surrounding him, all dressed in black.
The album, apart from the lead single, features 4 new tracks. Changmin co-wrote both Devil and Alien. Apart from these, he released his second Japanese album named ‘Human’ in the previous month.
