Let’s talk about The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 release date and plot. The show is a period comedy-drama series produced by Amazon video and streamed in their service. It was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, and it follows the story of a late 1950’s housewife who develops a taste and ability to perform in stand up comedy.
This Two Golden Globe Award series has been renewed for a second season, so we will get to see Rachel Brosnahan play Midge Maisel again.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 Teaser
The trailer runs for one minute, twelve seconds and it begins with a retro style hair salon with two women chatting about the private character of relationships and a joke. Music starts blaring “get ready,” and we get to see all those good old years of Americana, the retro looks, the fancy schmancy cars, women operators, men in suits, beautiful wide skirts, and the caption warns us that the Mad divorcée of the Upper West Side is Back!
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 Plot
We see Rachel Brosnahan smoking and going through the trials and tribulations of being whom she is, taking time between her daily job and routine and her night persona, a stand up comedy entertainer at her high, so we might see a knot in the story arc for every series in its development needs some sort of drama at some point, even retro 50’s comedies like this one . The rest is up for grabs. When interviewed by E! News about the show, Rachel Brosnahan said.
“She’s got a new level of determination, about stand-up particularly, heading into Season 2. She’s feeling good, she’s on a roll, I think she feels like she’s succeeded at her voice and she’s excited to grow it from there… the worlds collide and bounce off of each other. Characters interact who have never interacted before, so almost anything we say is a massive spoiler.”
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 Release Date
We still don’t know an official release date for the first episode of the second season, but the hype is palpable amongst social media because this series is nominated for 14 Emmys, this award show will air on September 17th. Following this, the hype will go further on this show that although we don’t know yet when it’s going to start streaming on Amazon, we believe it will premiere sometime around November, which also marks the year after the first season started.
Amazon picked up this series with a two-season order and 18 episodes, so that might imply that this second season might only have only ten episodes to its running and so will the third season after Amazon decided to renew it for a third installment this may.
