The show is based on the novels The Saxon Stories by Bernard Cornwell. These novels focus on Britain in the 9th and 10th centuries. There are nine books in the series and the third season of the series is based on the fifth and sixth novels. There are nine books in the series. Some of the events that are likely to be explored include huge Norman battles and the death of King Alfred. We can expect a lot of action in the upcoming season. The show is doing great and who knows that maybe we will get another season of the show.
