The wait is finally over, and it’s excellent news for Batman fans, as the final season of the fan-favorite series of Gotham starring Batman has been renewed by Fox Network. Gotham Season 4 was one of those seasons which kept fans engaged and got them hooked into the show but, the most discussed part of the previous season was the death of both Solomon Grundy and Ra’s al Ghul which shocked most of the fans. Now, that Gotham Season 5 has been confirmed, it’s only about time that fans get their hands on the masterpiece.

Gotham Season 5 Update

Gary Newman teased everyone for Gotham Season 5, as he said, “We asked a lot of [Gotham] this year moving to Thursday nights, and I thought it did a pretty good job of opening up that night for us. I feel like Gotham should have a place in our schedule.”

It was earlier revealed that Gotham Season 5 will “wrap up this unique origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes.” With this season, the franchise will finally complete the story of Bruce Wayne in his early days capturing his journey to become the superhero which he is today. Recently, John Stephens, the executive producer revealed to Comicbook that, loyal audiences “can expect full satisfaction on those counts.”

Gotham Season 5 Cast:

Gotham Season 5 will include all the cast from the previous seasons except the ones who were killed in season 4. The cast includes Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, David Mazouz, Robin Lord Taylor and others.

He also revealed that we would see a slight change in the physical appearance of Ben McKenzie, as according to him, “Ben [McKenzie] is growing his facial hair as we speak.” Stephens also shed light on the story of the upcoming season and according to him, Gotham Season 5 will adapt few parts from “Batman: Zero Year.”

He said, “There are, and I’m trying to remember which [stories] they are. There’s going to be a little bit of Zero Year in there, you know as well. [You know] some of that stuff, especially with Nygma. And there’s another one, but if I tell you what it is, it does spoil the story.”

Gotham Season 5 Release Date:

Gotham Season 5 will run for only ten long episodes, and speculations suggest that it will be released in 2019.
