Tokyo Ghoul re Season 2 is close to premiering now, and we just have over a week left to go. Tokyo Ghoul re aired its first season back in April. It had a total of 12 episodes which were reasonably satisfying. I think out of all 3 Tokyo Ghoul seasons, re Season 1 was probably the best when it comes to following the manga. It didn’t mess up tonnes of stuff as the other two did.
At the same time, my expectations for Tokyo Ghoul re Season 2 are down to earth. I don’t think it’ll be good at all. The show is going to adapt over 120 chapters in just 12 episodes. To put that in perspective, Tokyo Ghoul re Season 1 adapted about six chapters per episode. Even the first season skipped a hell lot of content. I don’t even want to talk about how things will go with season 2.
Tokyo Ghoul re Season 2 Episode 1 Spoilers
Anyway, let’s move on to Tokyo Ghoul re Season 2 Episode 1. The show will pick up right from where we left off. We’ll be seeing Kaneki get promoted to an Associate Special Class Investigator now, and he’ll not be leading the Quinx anymore. As Haise, he will now advise the CCG to go after the One-Eyed King, who he believes to be the real threat. Takatsuki Sen will feature heavily in Tokyo Ghoul re Season 2.
We’ll see her involved right from the first episode, and this season, we’ll see a lot more of Arima as well. I can’t comment on the quality that I expect from Tokyo Ghoul re Season 2 Episode 1. Just like the first season, the entire season is going to be outsourced. Expect lots of ups and downs in the quality of the show throughout the season.
Tokyo Ghoul re Season 2 Episode 1 will be out on October 9, 2018. You can watch the show on Aniplus Asia. You can also stream it on Crunchyroll, and Funimation.
