Tokyo Ghoul Season 4 is premiering on Tuesday, and there’s a lot of stuff that I want to discuss with you guys before that. After a great season earlier in April, I had very high hopes for Tokyo Ghoul re’s upcoming season. But, it looks like Tokyo Ghoul Season 4 may not be as good as you guys think.
Tokyo Ghoul Season 4 Episode 1 Spoilers
We ended the last season with Haise getting all his memories back. He still chose to stay with the CCG and abandoned everything that he loved in the past. He even dealt with Shuu Tsukiyama in a very cruel manner, but he was later rescued by Kanae, who fell to her death. Surprisingly, we’re not picking up right from where we left off in Tokyo Ghoul re. A huge chunk of an arc is skipped, and we see the island where Aogiri’s strongest lie. It is under attack by the CCG.
We then skip more content, and we see Haise and Furuta collecting information about Eto Yoshimura. They manage to get close to her, and when they do, she announces her ghoul identity to the whole world. She also lets it known that she wants to unite the ghouls and the humans. She wants to create a world where humans and ghouls live together.
After this, she is taken to Cochlea and then interrogated. Again, we skip a lot of manga content, and we reach the point where Ayato and Banjo, along with Touka and Renji Yomo invade Cochlea, marking the Third Raid. Haise takes this opportunity to go and rescue Hinami, while Arima makes way to stop all this after defeating the SSS Rate Ghoul, Satchi.
Tokyo Ghoul re Episode 13 is going to be aired on October 9, 2018. You can watch it online on Crunchyroll, or Funimation.
