The Weekend Away Plot
They then visited a restaurant where Kate said she had Jay’s credit card, so they need not worry about the bill. Meanwhile, Kate got a phone call. Beth got to know that the credit card was not working (a waiter told her). When Beth arrived, Kate told her everything, to which Kate said that she got a phone call from Jay and she knew everything.
Instead of going home, Kate insisted Beth come to a club. There they met two men. Once they got done with the alcohol and were not in their senses, Kate asked the two guys to take them to their hotel.
In the morning, Beth found that Kate was missing. She found some patches of blood and broken glass. She immediately asked Sibestian (who works at the hotel). But he was not aware of it. She visited the police station where she got to meet a police officer Pavic, and after telling all the story, he started laughing and said her friend must have run away.
She called her husband, who told her the same. Later, she called Zain, as he was the second person whom she knew in Croatia. Zain helped her in finding the two boys who took them to the hotel. One of them said that they intended to just rob the room, and apart from that, they did nothing.
Beth wanted to tell this to the police, but Zain told her to keep him away from the police as he might get caught because of something related to his visa. She visited the police station alone, where she was amazed to find that police officer Pavic had not written her case till now. Shasha was senior to him. She got upset and took the case under her.
The Weekend Away Ending Explained: Did Pavic Killed Kate?
The next day, Shasha informed her that they had found Kate’s dead body at sea. Beth went to see her, and with her face, she unlocked her phone, where she found some private messages between her husband, Rob, and Kate. She also found that the day when they were in the restaurant, it was Rob who called her.
Beth started living on the hotel’s ground floor. There she called her husband and told him that she knew everything about his affair with Kate. Soon after this, police arrived and seized her visa, and told her not to go anywhere.
She did not understand how the police got to know about all these things. When she found a wire connected to Sebastian’s room, she went inside it and found CCTV cameras. After a lot of effort, she got the number of the car that last dropped Kate at the hotel. She also saw that Kate shouted at the man in the car.
After some search, Beth got to know that it was Pavic who might have killed Kate. She then met him and confronted him that she knew he had killed Kate, but somehow Pavic accidentally dropped into a big dug pit and died soon after. Shasha told her he was involved with some illegal cases that’s why he was transferred to the tourist branch.
