The Walking Dead: World Beyond Season 2 Episode 4 recap
The episode begins with a flashback to Huck’s childhood. Her arm has been fractured. She’s been drifting down the river for days and is in terrible condition. Huck encounters Indira in the current day. Hope immediately recognizes her sister Iris and leaps into each other’s arms. When Felix and Will see Huck and Hope, they decide to return to the perimeter. Felix instructs Will to remain concealed for fear of being seen by Huck. Hope tells Iris that Huck had to smuggle her away, but their father is okay. Hope and Felix rekindle their friendship.
Huck informs Indira that her mother is unaware of her presence and will not be informed. She just wants to speak with them alone. Indira reminds everyone that the perimeter hasn’t seen any violence since its inception, and she wants to maintain it that way. Felix is perplexed by Huck’s arrival. Hope steps in and says she wants him and Iris to return with them. Silas observes as Grady, Tiga, and Webb use light and music to entice the dead, then blow them up and clean up. Dennis directs Silas Plasket to edit the music and prepare for the performance cleanup.
Huck informs the team. All they have to do is pretend they didn’t know she was CRM, about the codebooks and the fuel caches, and they’ll be okay. Her mother will take them in and keep them secure. Iris confronts her about Omaha. Huck says that the CRM was unable to deploy quickly enough to rescue either of them. Iris accuses the CRM of orchestrating the event. The empties were simply a ruse. Huck explains their goal of resurrecting the planet. Iris informs Hope that she has no intention of going anywhere with Huck. I hope no one screams that this isn’t about Huck! It’s all about their father!
Iris says that she would want to meet him, but only if she has a way out. Huck tells them that Silas is still alive. A culling and maintenance post is not far away. She made certain that He was well taken care of. Elton is roaming about and finds upon medical supplies from the CR when Asha apprehends him and tells him to forget what she witnessed. She admits that she is the one who is ill. Iris and Hope are having a one-on-one conversation. Hope thinks Iris is getting older. She admits that seeing her father okay, along with all those other physicians from Portland and Omaha, helped her comprehend why he’s so engrossed in it. She also informs her about Mason and their father’s lover.
Webb and Grady
Iris still refuses to accompany her because she believes they will be imprisoned. Hope informs her that their house is no longer there. They’re all they’ve got. Huck and Felix have ventured into the woods. He slams into her from behind. Then he takes an empty bottle and threatens her with it. Huck tells him that They will come searching for him. He then assures her that he is not going to murder her tonight. He simply wanted to know how he’d feel when he did it. Webb and Grady abduct Silas and transport him to the Parade, an abandoned warehouse that serves as their training facility. Silas is only armed with a baseball bat, and he has no idea what he’s going to confront since he’s trapped in there in total darkness. Swing at everything that moves, they told him. The area is teeming with empty bottles.
Will and Felix
Will tells Felix that he believes he just witnessed Percy go out of the armory. Felix tells him that if he goes for Huck and they don’t catch him first, he’ll murder them all. Will makes the ultimate sacrifice, exposing himself to Huck, who believed he was dead, just as Percy is ready to kill him. He says that he had to fool the CRM into thinking he was someone else in order to put them off his track. They’re attempting to assassinate him.
They assassinated Romano. They’re after him. Asha tells Elton that she is okay as long as she keeps the dialysis running. She then expresses gratitude to him for keeping her secret safe. He admires her bravery. Will informs Huck that he was correct about Omaha. That’s why they attempted to murder him. To conceal what they had done. Huck, on the other hand, refuses to trust him. Huck decides to go get Hope and leave since the sun will be rising shortly. She assures them that she will keep Will’s identity a secret. Felix informs Will that they will not be able to remain there. It’s no longer safe for them.
Will believes that the best course of action for Huck is to keep this secret. Because she exposes herself if she tells the CRM, it’s mutually guaranteed demise. Will discovers Silas is at a culling station. He informs Felix that if he is where she claims he is, he may know how to get everyone out. Percy pays a visit to Iris while she lies on her bed. He admits that Huck should not be allowed to go about as if what she didn’t matter, but he should have been thinking about everyone.
Concerning Will. Felix and Iris approach him and kiss him. Indira is concerned about Elton, afraid that he may tell others. Indira, it turns out, is the one who is ill. Asha tells her that no one will since she told him she was the one who was ill. Huck inquires of her mother how many people really survived in Omaha and whether she knows their identities. Elizabeth refuses to give her the information since it is secret and above the level of a staff sergeant. She goes on to say that she just recently regained what she had lost due to a terrible mistake of judgment. She wouldn’t want anybody to believe she hadn’t learned her lesson. Huck breaks out in tears at the conclusion of the episode as she recalls her journey to Omaha.
