The Voice Season 21 Episode 13 will mark the final part of the Knockouts Round. The show is about to go live on the road, and all the judges need to make the intricate decision of choosing the right person they want to go in with. Also, it hasn’t been that easy lately. Contestants are bringing in much strong competition from their side. At the same time, they bring an emotional touch to their performances, telling their life stories through a song. So tears were seen and felt in strong delivery.
So, to bring these emotions to life, the artist with hits such as Thinking Out Loud, Perfect, and The A-Team came to join the show as the Mega-Mentor this season. Recently on the show, we saw John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Ariana Grande pairing up two of the singers from their team to Knockouts round part 3. As we said, it wasn’t easy as Samuel Harness went all out telling his story of being adopted to Hailey Strong, bringing all the angst to make the audience hear what she had to say. Let’s take a quick recap on what went down.
The Voice S21 E12 Recap
Previously on The Voice Season 21, the singing reality show was celebrating its 500th episode. The special guest mentor for tonight is one of the biggest pop stars in the world, Ed Sheeran. The knockout round between John Legend’s BrittanyBree and Samuel Harness began the show. It was Samuel Harness who stole the show. He chose the song “Bruises” by Lewis Capaldi. This choice came from his experience as the adopted, and he took Ed Sheeran’s advice. We saw him touching emotional chords while performing. The judges clearly saw a winner and chose Samuel Harness over Brittany, who left the show.
Next up, Kelly Clarkson brought The Cunningham Sisters and Hailey Mia performing. Both gave their all out, but it was Hailey’s strong voice and all the angst that came out which went on to steal the show. The judges were definitely impressed with what The Cunnigham Sisters had to offer with the song “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” that brought Church Music vibes. But it’s Hailey’s “Arcade” taking the voice above them. It was difficult, but Kelly decided to choose Hailey over The Cunnigham Sisters.
Ryleigh Plank and David Vogel from Ariana’s team were up next. Ed pretty much saw himself when David picked Selena Gomez’s ‘Lose You To Love Me’ with a beautiful guitar arrangement. Certainly, the choice was great, as his performance literally stood out. Let’s not forget he was competing with Plank’s strong cover of “Midnight Sky” by Miley Cyrus. Considering the fact Plank has stood out in every other competition this season, the judges chose her as the winner.
So David was about to say goodbye and Ariana didn’t want him to go. John Legend was pretty much impressed with the acoustic performance. Much like Ed Sheeran, who became David’s fan overnight. So John decided to use his steal to take David into his team to close the night.
