Netflix premiered the show in February 2019. The first season was an ultimate success. After its release, it got viewed by 45 million viewers. Even the producer cum writer Gabriel must have never thought of achieving so much. It all started in a different universe. The 43 women gave birth at the same time at noon on October 1989. Seven of the 43 children got adopted by the enigmatic billionaire, Sir Reginald Hargreaves. He turned them into a team of superheroes known as The Umbrella Academy.
Sir. Hargreaves gave his children numbers rather than names. The reason why he was eccentric! But still, they got named by their robot mom Grace. The superheroes were Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Ben, Vanya, and Five. They got formed to be a team of heroes who would fight crime and defend the planet. Vanya was kept apart by Sir. Hargreaves because she displayed no sign of superpowers. But Vanya was as deadly as Five. Because she was the one who came to the team’s rescue in the finale!
Luther is Number One. Number One is supposedly the leader of the team. He has super strength and power like an ape. Diego is Number Two. He has telekinetic abilities, through which he can curve the trajectory of anything! Allison is Number Three. She has the power to control minds by changing reality in her own ways! Klaus is Number Four. He can communicate with the lifeless and get them back to life for some time. Five Hargreaves can travel through space and time. Undoubtedly the strongest with Vanya. Vanya is Number Seven. She can manipulate sound and unleash unreal power. Vanya uses her true powers only in the finale.

The finale takes place on Sissy’s farm in Marin, Ireland. Lila & The Handler are having full-on powers breakdown to kill Hargreaves’ Children. After she realizes that Five was the one who killed her parents, she takes a vow to finish them off. In the final episode, we learn that Lila possesses Vanya’s deadly powers.
Diego and the other kids try to empathize with her. They try to convince her that Lila is one of them, and her parents are brutal. Before they could finish, Handler killed all of them except Five. A dying Five goes back a minute to his past and disarms the Handler. The Swede arrives and kills the Handler. Lila takes the time-traveling briefcase and leaves. Five is able to convince Swede, and the fight ends. The heroes join hands and make the jump. They go back to 2019.
The heroes believe it was a successful time-travel as they return to their mansion. But when they go inside, they see their father sitting there. He sarcastically says, “Knew you would show up eventually.” Sir Reginald is supposed to be dead (Season 1) Then they see the painting of Ben Hargreaves (Number Six) in place of Five Hargreaves. Then suddenly, Ben comes out and says, “Dad, who are these people?”
So what does this mean? It feels like we are back in the future! It means all this while the kids were in the 1960s! The other scenario tells that they might have jumped to a parallel dimension, where everything is unusual. Can’t wait for Season three to release!
