The Sweet Blood is a South Korean drama series based on the webtoon called ‘The Sweet Girl’ written by S and illustrated by NalChi though the story of the webtoon has been altered a bit for the drama. The drama is about YeonSeo, a half-human and a half-vampire of 118 years. She wants to be freed from the clutches of her father because he has been using YeonSeo’s mother’s blood for his business.

Yeon Seo did not like this, and she hopes to be a full-blooded human someday. One day, MeoRu, the male lead of the drama, which has the irresistible sweet blood of great men suitable for vampire wine, appears in front of YeonSeo, which leads to the start of romance and thrill in the k-drama.

The Sweet Blood, also known as ‘Daldalhan Geunom’ in Korean, is a vampire fantasy series directed by Ha HanMe. B-PLAY and Naver TV Cast are the production networks for the series.

The cast is filled with all the rookie actors; Song ChaeYoon as Son YeonSeo, Kim EoJin as Song MeeRu, Kim Ji Woong as Yoon Chiwoo, Cho Eunho as Do HyunJe and Yoon DaYoung as Kim SooJung.

Song ChaeYoon has previously acted in dramas called “The Tale of Nokdu” and “Rugal.” Kim EoJin is having his debut with the drama The Sweet Blood. Kim JiWoong is an idol who was a pre-debut member in the groups B.I.T and ATEEN and former group INX. He is debuting in acting with this series as well.

The Sweet Blood is a vampire romance K-Drama series that aired its first episode on 24th March 2021 and is currently on the run. The drama is scheduled every week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. KST. Each episode is 15 minutes long. It is known that the drama will have 15 episodes in total as of now. Yeon Seo, the protagonist of the story, works as a sommelier as she has a fine taste bud and active senses. She wants to be freed from the clutches of her father because he has been using YeonSeo’s mother’s blood for his business. Her mother had the blood of great men suitable for the Vampire Wine. YeonSeo did not like this, and she hopes to be a full-blooded human someday. MeoRu is a mundane high school student crushing on YeonSeo. The twist is MeoRu has the blood of great men, and he has no knowledge about it.

YeonSeo started growing feelings for him and had a vain effort to build a wall between them. One day, YeonSeo sucked the blood of MeoRu, and he was shocked to learn that YeonSeo is actually a vampire. ChiWoo, who was  YeonSeo’s fiancé 50 years ago, comes to Korea to persuade her not to give up her profession as a sommelier. He began attending the same high school as the lead characters in the hope of hunting down humans with great blood.
