The Speedshop Episode Schedule & Preview:
The Speedshop Episode 1: Sunday, 27 March 2022
Titch and the team create a sidecar for Titch’s buddy and former colleague Toby, who was paralyzed from the neck down after being wounded while on missions in Afghanistan in 2009. He uses a ventilator but wishes to get back on his motorcycle. According to Titch, they had been told it couldn’t be done, so to finally get there was incredible. Taking Toby out on the sidecar and seeing the look on his face was one of his favorite scenes from the series. Tobey was able to feel the breeze in his hair, which gave him a sense of liberation. Titch also challenges Billy and John to build the best electric bike using an electric drill, followed by a high-stakes race to discover who performs best.
The Speedshop Episode 2: Sunday, 3 April 2022
The group will fly to Morocco to assist with a 1,100-kilometer desert adventure for 20 wounded and sick veterans. Billy is a big supporter of the organization because it benefited him after he suffered life-altering injuries while on duty. The trio gets ready for the veterans to journey across the desert in their vehicles. Titch also fixes an old micro-sailboat, which he must use to sail around Brownsea Island.
The Speedshop Episode 3: Sunday, 10 April 2022
John, Titch, and Billy assist in the refurbishment of Exmoor’s mountain rescue fleet’s oldest Land Rover Defender. However, the trio must labor around the clock to get the vehicle back in operation due to a tight deadline. The Land Rover, according to Titch, was a little past its prime, was pretty antiquated, and the wiring inside was a veritable nest of birds. It was a disaster, so transforming it from a rickety old Land Rover into a capable vehicle was fantastic. Because it now functions better, the rescue service will be able to respond faster, perhaps saving lives.
The Speedshop Episode 4: Sunday, 17 April 2022
Titch creates a vintage custom motorcycle as a homage to his late grandfather. After that, he rides over the same D-Day beach that his grandfather landed on during WWII. That was something Titch had always wanted to accomplish, he remarked. For Titch, it was a steep learning curve. It was overwhelming, humiliating, and poignant. Back at home, the crew also assisted in the restoration of an AC Cobra for its cancer-stricken owner.
The Speedshop Episode 5: Sunday, 24 April 2022
Titch crosses something off his bucket list as he competes in the Weston Beach motorcycle race with a bike that is the same age as him. Obstacles the size of houses can be found on the four-mile sand track. Billy, despite only having one fully functional arm, signs up as a surprise last-minute entry. Billy had no intention of competing in the Weston beach race, so Titch had a great time with that one. Billy had already stated that he couldn’t do it. “In fact, he secretly relished it,” Titch claims.
The Speedshop Episode 6: Sunday, 1 May 2022
The team travels to Iceland for a 700-kilometer off-road motorcycle adventure over snow and ice. Titch confesses that Iceland was difficult since it required so much effort. They miscalculated the scope of the task, and it became extremely difficult. Titch pushed the bike as far as it was capable of going. There were a few hair-raising moments. He had a few minor collisions. And Bill walked through the ice, which led to the “incident pit,” where one person was attempting to rescue another. They then became stuck and had to retrieve the rescue truck. Nonetheless, it was a fantastic experience for them. Despite the fact that it was good to thaw out in the end.
