The Speedshop has been a fantastic experience for the entire crew, according to Titch Cormack. Taking on projects and activities that not only put their technical talents to the test, but also forced them to step outside of their comfort zone, Titch is ecstatic about what they’ve accomplished and the lives they’ve touched over the last year.
Titch Cormack and his mates, Billy, a mechanic and ex-Tank unit leader, and engineer John, visit the Speedshop. Billy is a retired Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineer staff sergeant. He builds everything from a modified sidecar for a paralyzed soldier to a mountain rescue vehicle. They also take on some strange tasks of their own, such as riding motorcycles through Iceland’s cold terrain.

The Speedshop Teaser
The Speedshop teaser has been posted. This six-part documentary follows a close-knit group of friends as they take on a diverse range of undertakings. From designing a quadriplegic ex-Special Forces soldier a motorbike sidecar to undertaking a 700-kilometer trans-Iceland ride on modified bikes with hurriedly built skis.
They’re restoring the England and Wales Mountain Rescue fleet’s oldest Land Rover Defender this week. Titch is riding a refurbished 1974 scrambler, a machine manufactured the same year he was born, and they’re competing in a horrific, bone-breaking (literally) beach race. As these friends and coworkers give us access to their exciting engineering world, it’s a series loaded with camaraderie, heart, and plenty of laughs.
The Speedshop Preview
Toby, an ex-Special Forces man, is given a customized motorcycle sidecar to start the series. After being shot in Afghanistan, Toby is paralyzed from his neck down. Despite the fact that he needs a mechanical ventilator to breathe, he is adamant about getting back on his bike. Later episodes show the gang going further afield as they join a veterans’ charity on a Moroccan desert expedition and devise an inventive method that allows them to bike hundreds of kilometers across Iceland’s magnificent snowscapes!
Titch’s late grandfather, Corporal William Cormack, was the one who encouraged him to pursue a military career. His personal goal is to travel to the French coast on a custom-built motorcycle where his grandfather landed on D-Day to pay tribute to the brave troops who fought so heroically in WWII.
