The Punisher Season 2 Update: New Cast, Spoilers, Release Date

The first season of the Punisher made the headlines for all the right reasons. It was an excellent first season, and no one would have expected it to be like that. Due to the popularity of the series, the show was renewed for a second season, and the fans were happy with the news. Netflix officially renewed The Punisher for a season two on the back on December 12.

The first season of Daredevil was released on April 10, 2015, and the second season landed on March 18, 2016. The third season is slated for release on October 17, 2018. We all know that there’s a decent chunk of space between the two series. So, we can expect the second season of the Punisher in 2019. According to several reports, the shooting for the second season began in July 2018.

Steve Lightfoot, who is the showrunner is undecided on the matter. He said, “One of the villains I love is Barracuda [from Garth Ennis’s Punisher MAX series]. I think he’s great fun,” Lightfoot has said. “I also really like O’Brien [also introduced in Punisher MAX]. I thought she was always really cool. There are so many great characters there. It’s a very fun sandbox to play in.”
