What Is The Plot Of The Thriller Movie?
The movie revolves around the Brennan couple. John Brennan is a polite college professor, whereas his wife, Lara Brennan, is a hot-headed working woman. One day Lara was accused of murdering her wife, but she didn’t commit the crime. Lara and John fight in court but fails to prove her innocence. Therefore, she was punished with a lifetime in prison. However, John plans to take the case to Supreme Court. But even John’s lawyer was convinced that Lara committed the crime and there was no way to prove her innocence to avoid the lifetime prison sentence.
After a few years passed, John got to know about his wife trying to commit suicide. He goes to meet her wife in hospital. However, there was a prohibition for Lara to have visitors. But the doctor allows John to meet her for a very short while after he pleads. The two spend the time in silence. After seeing her wife breaking down, John decides that he can’t legally get her out of prison, and the only way is to break her out of prison. John gets Damon Pennington on board because of his expertise in breaking out of the prison. Soon he begins planning for his wife’s breakout, and in the process, he gets his hands dirty.
John buys guns and fake identities to escape the country along with his wife and son, Luke. Further, John also gets involved with some drug dealers. As the story progresses, John losses his timid and polite self. As he plans to rob a bank to arrange money, but later, he cancels the plan. He goes to meet Lara, and the two end up arguing. Further, Lara accepts murdering her boss. But John doesn’t believe her, and it strengthens his resolve to break Lara out of prison. John eventually robs the drug dealers of money and even kills them. The story continues with John working on his plan to break his wife out of prison.

What Happened In The Ending Of “The Next Three Days”?
To break Lara out of prison, John plants fake blood tests to prove that his wife suffers from the symptoms of hyperkalemia. Therefore, the police move Lara from prison to a hospital. Meanwhile, police were also investing in the murder of the drug dealers, which led them to John’s house. There they were unable to find John and speculates that it was his plan to break his wife out of prison.
John finally breaks Lara free from the prison, and then they escape with their son. Further, John left behind fake trials so that police wouldn’t be able to come after them. The Brennan couple, along with their son, escapes to Venezuela to start a new life there. Lara has finally escaped hell and is enjoying a peaceful night with her family in a hotel in Caracas, Venezuela. Meanwhile, John takes a photo of his wife Lara and son Luke while they are sleeping.
However, the audience was doubting whether Lara was innocent or not. If she was guilty, then John helped a murderer escape justice. However, we witness a flashback near the ending, which reveals the truth. In the flashback, we see some junkies killing Lara’s boss and robbing her. While escaping from the crime scene, they bumped into Lara and left a blood mark on her. Further, the junkies used a fire extinguisher to commit the murder and left it near Lara’s car. Therefore, Lara removes the fire extinguisher to take her car out but fails to notice the dead body. Therefore, Lara was always innocent, and she didn’t kill her boss.
