The Morning Show Season 2 Episode 9 sees the UBA and TMS going through a big change. Especially after the team lost one of their own in a car accident. Things have never been really easy working at UBA. For the slightest moment when you think, yes, it’s fine. Well, that’s where you are caught. For a while, tensions have been building up. Let it be with Cory being in the center of it. Bradley dealing with the world, recognizing her as a lesbian, or be it her brother causing a ruckus. Lastly, Alex, from whom the team hasn’t heard in a while now.
While the team was busy solving this mess, the bad news came walking in that struck everyone out there. Mitch Kessler might be involved in a car accident and may not have survived. The news certainly put the UBA on alert as everyone who heard of it first came to them to confirm it. With Alex not present and everyone having no connection to Mitch for over a year, things were quite difficult. Here is a look at everything that went down recently on the show.
The Morning Show S02 E08 Recap
Previously on The Morning Show Season 2, we opened up with Cory letting his feelings slide on Stella after she asks him how he is doing. Especially with all the pressure on the UBA. Similarly, Chip blurts all his feelings out for Alex on the answering machine. He failed to track her down right after her unceremonious leave, abandoning the presidential debate. Bradley was working on her brother’s causing trouble. Right when UBA was discussing the situation in the meeting, a call from Italy hit telling them about bad news.
The call to UBA was apparently to confirm former TMS host Mitch Kessler’s death in a car accident last night. A second confirmation was needed. The UBA didn’t comment and wanted to confirm it themselves. Mitch Kessler’s death stormed everyone’s mind. Cory demanded Alex to be here to report it. Mia acknowledged the news and put her team to research and confirm the news from a secondary source.
Cory predicted the news was going to be a feeding frenzy, and it was a matter of time Wendell’s call came in. Well, they came in good light to let the TMS have the story. Also gave a hint about the hospital Mitch could be in. Chip went on to call the hospital while Mia mustered up the courage to let the team of TMS know about Mitch’s death. The hospital in Italy did confirm a car accident victim, but the patient didn’t have an ID.
Chip later came up to tell that Alex might have been visiting Mitch from her assistant. As Mia broke down in her office all alone, there was an update of Alex booking a flight. Amidst all of this, Bradley’s brother causes a ruckus at the workplace. Luckily, Chip finds Alex all good, but he has to break the bad news to her. She later confirms it by calling Paola.
Before delivering the news, Alex would like to tell Mitch’s family first. On their way back, Chip and Alex get into a huge fight for the rant Chip put on the answering machine which she discovers now. Mitch’s wife, Paige, also feels sorry for Alex as she slept with him. Thus leaving Alex further broke. Alex later calls and lets Mia run the news and asks Bradley to be one to deliver it since she was part of the change when it began.
