The Morning Show season 2 has started airing on Apple TV Plus. The plot of this series has derived major inspiration from Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV, a fictional book written down by Brian Shelter. There is a lot of drama and of course, news on the screen when The Morning Show airs. The main spotlight is handed over to the anchors as well as executives and the staff who are present on the breakfast news show in the city. As for the drama bits of the series, we see that Alex Levy is in a lot of drama right now after finding out, that her partner Mitch Kessler is actually not he seems to like. The two have been married for almost 15 years and Mitch is now fired from the show because of the misconduct allegations.
But given the fact that she does not want any of that dirt falling onto her name, Alex goes on to trick the network into hiring Bradley Jackson as a replacement to Mitch. We see that everything is getting too much out of her hand and thus, she leaves the show in the first season. Although, with the start of the second one, she is invited back on the platform with the viewer rating of the series going deeper and deeper since her absence. Previously on the 3rd episode of the show called Laura, we saw Daniel, as well as his whole team, go to Beijing for two weeks in order to quarantine as they have come back from Wuhan.
Things get out of hand when he tries to narrate his experience and no one takes him seriously. The producers even cut him off live TV before he addresses his report. On the other hand, Alex has her own schedule going on that needs attention. She gets into an interview with Laura Peterson. Laura is an anchor at UBA. Alex also tells Cory and Stella among the team that she wants to Chip as her new producer now. Bradley is not feeling so great about everything given the fact that she badly wants to be on the Democratic debate. Although, the entire network sees Alex doing the task.
She goes on to talk about the issue to Cory but instead gets shut down. Alex is pretty uptight about her interview with Laura and wants everything to go perfectly. Before the event, she is having lunch with Bradley, and tells her to be careful because she knows Laura. Fred is pretty focused on his reports in Italy. Together with Mitch, he wants to go after and convince the network to do the same. Although, Mitch bails out because she does not feel right about it.
