The Flash Season 5 Updates

The fifth season of The Flash was announced by CW on 2 April 2018. The season is believed to have 22 episodes, as Wikipedia has also suggested, which is unusual as all the seasons had a constant number of 23 episodes each. The season will be returning on the CW for almost eight months from October 2018 to May 2019. The show will retain its Tuesday 8 PM slot on CW.

Although the show is getting more and more seasons in line, the number of viewers is decreasing significantly. The first season had an average viewership of 4.62 million viewers, which has constantly decreased with the new seasons incoming and the last data came from the fourth season which accounted for 3.04 million average viewers. The decrease in viewers is a concerning factor.
