The Curse of Oak Island Season 9 Episode 5 may see the team stumble upon one big mistake they were doing all along. Does that mean all this research was a fluke? Rick, Marty, and his team may have to start from the beginning. Well, it certainly feels this way. This is not something new, as the team also faced a ban on one of their sites recently. Digging the swamp area where they found Mi’kmaq Pottery and a possible pathway to Money Pit is off-limits now. The team will be following the law even though there was a chance of discovering something huge there.
So this led the team to continue digging in the C-1 cluster. The same place is now where they have come across some wooden piece and another piece of metal. The special thing is it is quite similar to the one they found previously on the show. Then the team also began excavating the Dunfield Spoils, hoping since the Swamp Area is off-limits. Lastly, they took a closer look at artifacts that may come from foreign origins.
The Curse of Oak Island Season 9 Episode 4 Recap
Rick, Marty, and his team said their goodbyes to the area where they find Mi’kmaq Pottery. The Provincial Department Of Community, Culture, and Heritage have stopped the team from further search activity. Geologist Terry Matheson, with his team, was digging to find the fabled Money Pit Treasure Vault. They were digging near the C-1 cluster and came across what looks like the shaft to a tunnel. That too is 90 feet deep in the area.
Scott Barlow and Charles, on the other side, were looking into the Dunfield Spoils. Hoping to find something. At least until the Swamp is off-limits. What they come across is a Chisel that might have been used to carve on stones. Also, carved stones were discovered on the island during the past excavations. While this went on, the team looked at a potential important artifact discovered in Lot 16.
Coming back to C-1 Cluster, the team came across a little piece of metal again after discovering wood. Doing an XRF test on the same told the team about traces of gold on it. Dr. Raeside joined the team to look at the artifact found in Lot 16. The artifact suggests it could possibly be of Portuguese origin. Back at Dunfield Spoils, the team came across hand-hewn and a cribbing spike.
Chemist Dr. Christa Brossseau joined the team to give her scientific analysis on the metal discovered near the C-1 Cluster. She told that it does contain Manganese on one spot that may be connected to the core body. The good news was that there are few gold flakes on the same. Also similar to another composition they found in D-2.
