The Crime Thriller series The Blacklist is set to come back for its Season 6. In May this year, NBC renewed the series for a Sixth Season. The show premiered on 23rd September 2013 on NBC. The series revolves around Raymond “Red” Reddington, a Navy officer turned criminal returns to FBI and offered his list of most dangerous criminal in exchange for his immunity from prosecution. He also has a specific person whom he likes to work – Elizabeth Keen, an amateur FBI profiler.
The show has been a huge success that even a spinoff series was ordered – Blacklist: Redemption, but the series didn’t go well by the fans, and therefore it was canceled after its first season.
As we all know, the Season 5 ended on a cliff-hanger and fans are left to wonder about what will happen next. The creator of the series recently in an interview said that the sixth season will focus into Elizabeth Keen and how she has been learning and growing from Reddington and her husband Tom Keen, who was not only an imposter but a spy as well.
Also, we will see how Elizabeth handles this truth, and that will be the most interesting part of Season 6. The core cast for Season 6 is expected to be the same with James Spader returning as Raymond Reddington, Megan Boone as Elizabeth Keen, Diego Klattenhoff as Donald Ressler, Amir Arison as Aram Mojtabai and Harry Lenix as Harrold Cooper.
The air date for Season 6 still hasn’t been confirmed by NBC, but it usually comes out in September. But, as the confirmation for Season 6 came out just a few months back, it may not be the case for this season.
