Terra Formers is a Seinen manga that runs in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump. The manga is written by Yū Sasuga and is illustrated by Kenichi Tachibana. The two launched the manga back in January 2011, and the manga has been going strong ever since. Before Weekly Young Jump, the manga used to publish in the Miracle Jump magazine.
Terra Formars Manga Returns
Last year, in March, it was announced that the manga would be going on a hiatus. The length of the hiatus wasn’t announced. However, it was known that the hiatus was because of Sasuga’s health issues. Because of this serious issue, the manga went on a hiatus, but it was announced later that year that Sasuga’s health was getting better and that the manga would begin serialization once again very soon.
Later, news emerged that the manga would officially begin once again in April of 2018; nearly a year after the hiatus began. Recently, it was announced that Yū Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana’s Terra Formars manga will resume in the combined 21st and the 22nd issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine on April 26. Fans are waiting for the Terra Formars manga to begin once again.
It’s been way too long since we’ve had some stuff from the series to be excited about. Shueisha last shipped the 20th volume back in February 2017. Meanwhile, Viz Media released the manga in North America, and the manga shipped the 20th volume in January.
Terra Formars also received an anime back in 2014. The series had a total of 13 episodes and spanned over 3 months. It began airing in September 2014 and ended in December 2014. The anime was produced by Liden Films Studio and was directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki. The script for the anime was written by Shougo Yasukawa. The series aired on Tokyo MX, ABC, CBC, TV Asahi Channel 1, and BS11. Since then, the series has also received another anime, called Terra Formars: Revenge in 2016. The franchise also got a Live Action film back in April 2016.
