Moreover, the choppy bangs that Suzy is sporting have become quite the topic of conversation in Korean social media sites currently. Suzy & Marie Claire Interview: Suzy Talks About Her Latest Comeback
Suzy started off her career as a K-pop idol and has been active, gaining huge success in the Korean entertainment industry as an actress. She recently made her comeback as a solo singer after four years in February 2022 with the single “Satellite” and was asked a few questions about the experience of singing the song and also participating in the songwriting process in the Suzy – Marie Claire collaboration. She confides, “I adore this song a lot. The whole process (of making the song) was like an exercise of finding out what I liked and going after it. With this song, I wanted to capture the mood or spirit (of the subject matter), rather than blankly and precisely deliver the intentions behind the song. Keeping in mind the intrinsic nature of a satellite, I wrote about someone I can neither touch nor reach out to but still can’t help myself from constantly lingering around them.”
Suzy & Marie Claire Interview: Suzy Fangirls About Monika
Of course, Suzy was also asked about the music video accompanying “Satellite,” which has been making a splash as big as the song is. No wonder, since Monika from the MNET dancing survival competition program Street Woman Fighter is starring in it. About her decision to approach Monika for the music video, Suzy says, “I enjoyed watching Street Woman Fighter as a whole, but when I saw Monika, I got the feeling that she could be my “muse”!”
Further revealing her sincere musicianship, Suzy explains, “During filming, she filled the whole song with different types of dance moves every time, so it was difficult to choose the cuts that were to make it to the final video. But that spontaneity was the best way to convey the matter of the song.”
Suzy’s Future Activities in the Year 2022
In February 2022, Suzy released her song “Satellite,” which showcased her maturity and growth as a musician by being completely different from the other songs that she’d had released previously. It was also her first comeback as a solo singer post her leaving JYP Ent.
