Suzy started off her career as a K-pop idol and has been active, gaining huge success in the Korean entertainment industry as an actress. She recently made her comeback as a solo singer after four years in February 2022 with the single “Satellite” and was asked a few questions about the experience of singing the song and also participating in the songwriting process in the Suzy – Marie Claire collaboration. She confides, “I adore this song a lot. The whole process (of making the song) was like an exercise of finding out what I liked and going after it. With this song, I wanted to capture the mood or spirit (of the subject matter), rather than blankly and precisely deliver the intentions behind the song. Keeping in mind the intrinsic nature of a satellite, I wrote about someone I can neither touch nor reach out to but still can’t help myself from constantly lingering around them.”
