The sneak peeks from the first script reading of the SBS’s upcoming television drama series ‘Starting Today, We’ is out. It is winning the internet, and all the fans out there are really loving everything about its characters.
Director Jung Jung Hwa, along with cast members Im Soo Hyang, Sung Hoon, Shin Dong Wook, Hong Eun Hee, Hong Ji Yoon, Kim Soo Ro, Yeon Woon Kyung, and more were present for the drama’s first script reading session.
Im Soo Hyang plays the role of Oh Woo Ri, an assistant writer who is obsessed with soap operas. She is someone who believes greatly in the law of marriage and tries her best to maintain her virginity for the same. But fates had other plans, and a disastrous medical exam puts her in a situation where she ends up getting pregnant.
Introducing herself as her character, Woo Ri said that she is a character from three generations of mothers and daughters. She is stuck in a big mess after getting accidentally pregnant.
Her father, whose role is being played by Sung Hoon, is the CEO of a cosmetic company. Raphael is a cancer survivor, and introducing himself, he mentioned himself as sweet yet very disciplined when it comes to setting some boundaries and standards.
This is the first time after long eleven years that they are working together on a project. In the session, everyone was impressed with their synchronization with their respective characters.
Moving to Shin Dong Wook, who is portraying the role of Lee Kang Jae, the fiancé of Lee Kang Jae. They have a sweet and innocent relationship with each other. Kang Jae is a police detective working in the violent crime department. Introducing his character, he explained that Kang Jae is a lovable person who loves to investigate everything from work to love.
Hong Eun Hee portrays the role of vibrant vocal instructor Bae Eun Ran who aspires to become a singer someday.
Moreover, Hong Ji Yoon plays the role of Lee Ma Ri, the mother of Oh Woo Ri. She works as a marketing team leader of the Diamond Medical Foundation and is tangled in a mess of emotions. Describing her character, she explained that her extravagant looks gain her lots of attention and love, but apart from that, everything in her life is mostly fake.
Kim Soo Roo and Yeon Woon Kyung, who belongs to the category of veteran actors too, impressed everyone with their perfect synchronization with their respective roles.

The upcoming SBS drama series ‘Starting Today, We’ is the remake of the 2014 American TV series titled ‘Jane the Virgin’. The latter, too, is somehow and somewhere based around on the 2002 Venezuelan television series titled “Juana la Virgen”.
With a total of 16 episodes, the show is going to air its first episode on May 9, 2022, and if the original releases schedule is followed then, the viewers will have the finale on June 21, 2022.
