Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Episode 5 may finally give Jean-Luc Picard a slight edge over Q. There have been quite a few developments as Jean-Luc has managed to find the Watcher the team was looking for to restore the universe. Recently on the show, the search for the Watcher faced a stumble when Rios was caught by LAPD. Thus leaving Raffi and Seven to hatch a plan to rescue him that ends up with cops chasing them. Luckily, Borg Queen helped Agnes fix transporter systems to save them.
Back at the La Sirena, it’s still self-repairing itself as Agnes is connected to the Borg Queen. Agnes’s subconscious minds started giving away some guidance revealing the temporal divergence may occur in three days. This sees Picard dropping into LA to find the Watcher. Thus, reuniting with a young Guinan who is quite different from the one he knows as his best friend.
It took some time to convince Guinan to trust him, but Picard worked his way out. This led Guinan to reveal that she isn’t the Watcher, but she can take him to one. The Episode closes with the Watcher taking away Picard while Q, on the other side, begins losing his powers.
