Despite Book consenting to Burnham’s request for extra time in last week’s episode, a rogue Tarka fires the weapon to destroy the dark matter anomaly. The anomaly that was eliminated gets replaced by a much more powerful one that is heading for the Alpha quadrant. To ensure that the meeting with Species 10C results in a satisfactory diplomatic resolution, a delegation is assembled. Book and Tarka devise their own strategies for contacting Species 10C.
Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman created Star Trek Discovery, a science fiction drama airing on CBS. Star Trek Discovery follows the crew of the USS Discovery as they become embroiled in a conflict between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon houses, which begins 10 years before the events of the first series. Since its release on September 24, 2017, it has established quite a name for itself. After all, the show is already in its fourth season, and fans are anticipating Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Episode 11 with bated breath. But first, let’s go over what happened in the last episode.
What Happened In ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Season 4 Episode 10? – Episode 10 Recap
Tarka fires the device to destroy the anomaly, which has now been replaced by a new one, and the program picks up from there. The new dark matter anomaly is more strong than the last one, as Starfleet prepares to make first contact with Species 10C. Because of her diplomatic background, President Rillak is adamant about attending this summit.
Paul Stamets’ examination of the new anomaly equipment reveals that it is more powerful and complicated than the one Tarka destroyed as Starfleet prepares to emerge from the cosmos and make initial contact with Species 10C. President Rillak is adamant about accompanying the Discovery on this mission, noting her diplomatic skills as a possible asset in the next encounter.
Book is ready to imprison Tarka for acting out of turn to destroy the anomaly, but an unrepentant Tarka persuades him that he still needs his help departing the galaxy for their own attempt to join with Species 10C. While Book is wary of the deceitful scientist, he accepts and plans to obtain programmable antimatter in order to make such a journey conceivable.
Following Tarka’s trail, Book and Tarka arrive at a place for the promised antimatter, only to discover it is an Emerald Chain work camp, where Tarka was held for years after landing in the main Star Trek Universe. Tarka assuages Book’s fears by telling him about how he met and befriended a fellow scientist in the camp. Tarka is plagued by the fact that he had to leave his friend behind to flee the camp, but when he and Book depart the camp with the buried antimatter, Book convinces him that it wasn’t his fault, and the two prepare to contact Species 10.

The Discovery is able to cross the galactic barrier and exit the Milky Way Galaxy thanks to calculations by Stamets, Zora, and Adira Tal, who has rejoined the Discovery’s crew to give their experience with ship shields. As the Discovery approaches Species 10C, Rillak and Burnham update the rest of the crew and assembled delegation on the anomaly’s current track. With everyone on board the Discovery now fully aware of what’s at risk, the mission to make initial contact with Species 10C outside of the galaxy bears even greater significance as they race against time to save all that awaits them back home.
