The game has been vastly popular among the fans. It has caused a huge stir in the video game market. Many people have switched consoles or bought new ones just to play this game. The game has gone on and made a few records of its own. Spiderman made a record of selling 3.3 million copies in the first three days of its release.
Sony did not reveal any exact numbers from the sales of the game. However, we can get a rough estimate by doing some maths. The retail price of a single copy of the game is $59.99. Now, after doing some maths, we get a total sum of $198 million, which actually crushes the $117 million opening weekend box office of the latest solo Spider-Man film, “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” There was another record for Sony. A total of one million copies were preordered.
