The hit 2019 Kdrama Arthadal Chronicles is getting a season 2. After waiting for almost three years, fans of the historical fantasy Kdrama will get to see new episodes. Originally backed by tvN and Netflix, Arthdal Chronicles starred Song Joong Ki, Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ji Won, and Kim Ok Vin in the leading roles. Their return to Arthdal Chronicles season 2 is not announced yet.
Although the drama earned mixed reviews, Arthdal Chronicles managed to become one of the highest-rated dramas in cable television history. In season 2, fans are looking forward to seeing the story exceed. Moreover, they would like to see the drama change its formulaic plot to make it better than season 1.

Arthdal Chronicles Gets Renewed For Season 2
On February 21, an industry insider confirmed that Arthdal Chronicles is renewed for season 2. The drama’s production team is preparing to begin the filming for season 2 this year. However, Arthdal Chronicles season 2 is slated for a 2023 release. No particular release date has been shared. Also, details on the cast and further details will be shared later.
Season 1 ended with Tanya (Kim Ji Won) declaring that the union would no longer exist. She then made the Arthdal tribe into one country and declared that the people would now be called ‘subjects.’ Lastly, she cast a spell on everyone. After receiving love for its unique setting, fans wait to see what’s next in the Arthdal community.
Arthdal Chronicles season 1 cast includes Song Joong Ki (Eun-Seom and Saya), Jang Dong Gun (Ta Gon), Kim Ji Won (Tan-ya), and Kim Ok-Vin (Tae Al Ha). None of the members have confirmed their roles in season 2. However, according to a source, Song Joong Ki is growing his hair longer, indicating that he will be reprising his role as Eun-Seom and Saya.
Kim Won Seok will continue to direct the new episodes with writers from the previous season. Studio Dragon developed the drama, whereas tvN and Netflix serve as original distributors.
