Sister Wives Season 16 Episode 4 Recap
Kody likes to miss out on important things for his family. For a guy that fills his mouth saying that he cares about his family, he does very little in being there for them when they need them the most. For example, not only did he miss on Ysabel’s scoliosis surgery. He also missed out on his granddaughter’s amputation. But Janelle was there to provide some emotional comfort.
Kody claims to worry about the pandemic and wants to distance himself. But everybody from viewers to family notices how he caves in with Robin. Only to cause ever more problems for everybody around him. Moreover, Meri gets constantly shunned by Kody. They’re married, but Kody sees her “as a friend” What’s up with that? How does that work? And how is that going to affect the future of his marriage and the show?
Meri and Janelle
Meri is also attempting to mend her marriage to Janelle. When Janelle initially joined the family, they had a rocky start, and now there’s a rift because Meri has been thinking about things. Meri has learned that Janelle does not want her to build a house on the new acreage near the pond. Janelle indicated that she wanted everyone to be able to enjoy the area around the pond and that Meri didn’t want the kids racing in and out to get to the lake. As a result, the two women discussed it. Meri understood Janelle’s point of view because she was thinking of the house they all shared in Utah, but Meri didn’t enjoy Janelle mentioning all of Meri’s alleged transgressions. Meri was left with a sour taste in her mouth.
Talking it over by the Lake
Over the pond, Meri became defensive. Meri desired the lake because she wished to construct a deck and simply enjoy the scenery. Meri was also aware that she was prone to being defensive. Janelle understood what she was saying once she explained it to her. Janelle and Meri’s relationship hasn’t always been smooth. Once upon a time, they were buddies. Janelle joined the friend when they became friends since she assumed it would be a simple transition when it was not. Meri is the most strong and brutally direct person Janelle has ever met. Before Christine arrived, things had been tight for a while. Christine was instrumental in bridging the gap, and things are now much better. Meri and Janelle were capable of solving their issues just by chatting.
