Shin Lim net worth is $6 million and growing. The Canadian-American magician considers David Blaine as his all-time inspiration to step into the arena of magic. The early television shows of Blaine inspired Shin to learn and dig inside the tricks of magic.
However, his career took a big turn in the year 2012. Shin participated in The Federation Internationale des Societies Magiques, which was a World Championship that laid down the path for his career as a magician. He secured the sixth rank in the championship which didn’t earn him any money prize but the competition boosted his confidence about his skills.
Shin was confused about choosing a career field between magic and music as he was excelling in both of them. Though, things became quite clear when he met an agent who offered a China tour after witnessing him perform at the championship. And, the tour proved very fruitful for him as it helped him in discovering his trademark style.
Shin never compromised on perfection. With continuous practice and skills, Shin created a successful path for showcasing his magic.
His first win was in the championship known as Federation Internationale des Societies Magiques. He secured the sixth-place after competing with the top skilled magicians. He continued to climb up the ladder of success and he appeared in Penn and Teller Fool Us and managed to fool the legendary magicians with a simple pen vanish trick which left everyone awestruck.
When we say he came a long way we mean it. He completed his academics at the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. He decided to pursue his interest in music and attended the School of Music which was at Lee University in Tennessee. Though, his education was in the realm of music it didn’t stop him from developing a firm interest in the field of magic.
He started by learning tricks from YouTube tutorials and then developed his own after a lot of practice and patience.
Shin was also diagnosed with crap tunnel syndrome at the early age of 20. The illness refrained him from practicing the piano for too long and hence he had to take a year off from studies. But none of this broke his confidence in himself which led to his newfound and successful involvement with magic tricks.
He is married to Casey Thomas, whom he met while he was pursuing music to be his career option in 2015.
