To everybody’s surprise, SEVENTEEN’s Dino, for the very first time, did a solo beauty pictorial for Elle magazine this month. With his dewy skin that gleams no matter how we look at it, SEVENTEEN’s youngest member flaunts his charms and makes fans go crazy over his serious as well as playful sides.
Brought together by Pledis Entertainment, ‘Seventeen’ is a South Korean band that, unlike its name, includes thirteen members. Sub-divided into three categories depending on their area of specialization – ‘Hip-Hop Team’ (S. Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon- Rappers), ‘Vocal Team’ (Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, Seungkwan- Singers), and ‘Performance Team’ (Hoshi, Jun, The8, Dino-Dancers), it is a self-producing idol group. Although the idea of a self-produced group isn’t new, the wave of this concept and idea was brought into the limelight by them.
Slashing through hurdles, ‘Seventeen’ has been acknowledged and appreciated to such an extent that they are often referred to as “Performance Kings,” “Theater Kids of K-pop,” and “K-pop Performance Powerhouse” by national as well as international media broadcasting centers.
Lee chan, popularly known as Dino, is the youngest member of the South Korean boy band ‘Seventeen’ and is a dancer, choreographer, and vocalist for the same. Born in North Jeolla, South Korea, Dino has been part of the band since 2015 and currently has two mixtapes named “ZERO,” released on February 13, 2017, and “The Real Thing,” released on December 31, 2017.
Dino’s Approach To A Healthy Lifestyle
When you are sailing across the arena of being a star, then being fit goes hand in hand. Fitness plays a crucial role for every person on television. Dino highlights the importance of wellness by using this healthy product. He believes that being healthy makes one feel healthy inside out. In one of the advertisements, Dion suggested his fans use the ‘Bioderma PP Balm’. With this becoming a trending topic, people were excited and attentive towards the same. Thereafter, he was picked for this photoshoot.
Dino, in his interview, discusses the importance of a healthy lifestyle. We look at how he takes care of his skin, makes exercise a part of his routine, and maintains a balanced diet.
So, in a nutshell, this elevates him inside out. He also emphasizes the fact that taking care of his health brings a positive difference in his life. He claims to be more energized and lively because of the healthy habits he follows.
Dino’s Choreography
‘Seventeen,’ as an idol group with far more members than typical K-pop bands, paints a picture of a disappointment for new listeners. As the saying goes, too many cooks spoil the broth, the audience is inclined to the thought of disagreements, incompatibility, and poor coordination. But what they don’t take into consideration is that anything having a box of disadvantages unlocks the possibility of being advantageous in the long run.
The band has often seized this ‘size’ opportunity for visual storytelling through the act’s formation in performances. They’ve often performed scenes so effortlessly, which for smaller groups would have been impossible or if accomplished a blunder, as seen in the 2017 popular song “Don’t Wanna Cry,” their unique arrangement creates the image of two members wandering under street lighting. And also, in 2020, they released “My My,” which came out as a laid-back mid-tempo tune with an island-ready groove and a catchy synth melody.
Dino, despite being the group’s youngest member, has been one of its most imaginative and audacious performers. He’s got the confidence of dancing in unfamiliar settings and has a knack for delivering his skills on stage beautifully and passionately. Dino has had a significant role in choreographing ‘Seventeen’s’ performances over the years and remarkably devised the six-person dance for the single “Flower.”
In 2018 he debuted “Dino’s Danceology,” a series of performances he choreographed to songs by various artists. One of the most exceptional among those in the video of Jonas Brothers’ “Sucker,” where Dino shows feline and fluent moves that perfectly synced with the vibe of the song as he dances along the shore. Dino’s full interview and photoshoot will be released in the March edition of Elle magazine. Make sure to stay tuned to see what more the famous boy group Seventeen’s maknae had to say!
