Two days before Valentine’s Day, Netflix went on to release one of the most anticipated movies of the month. Ever since the trailers of ‘Love and Leashes’ have hit the internet, fans have been intrigued by the story. Since k-dramas are known for taking things slow, a movie revolving around BDSM has everyone shocked. While ‘Love and Leashes’ got mixed reviews, some fans loved the way it made them laugh. And to some, it gave secondhand embarrassment. Recently, Seohyun and Lee Jun Young sat down with The Swoon and went on the review the ‘Love and Leashes’ themselves.
‘Love and Leashes’ followed Jung Ji Hoo (played by Jun-Young) and Ji Woo (played by Seohyun). The two worked at the same office and went on to try a sub-dom relationship. And after a lot of talking, embarrassing dates, confronting ex-partners, and tolerating sexist and mindless superiors at the office, the two finally start dating and try new things. While the movie wasn’t complete an adventure as fans thought it would be. It sure covered some realistic aspects that one comes across if they are interested in BDSM. Things like pretending perverts, people’s judging reaction towards an unconventional thing, and the most important, blaming and teasing women in every situation.
Seohyun and Jun-Young React To ‘Love and Leashes’
Watching the scene when Ji Woo accidentally picked Ji Hoo’s parcel and the mess began. The two were asked what they would do if it happened in real life. Jun Young revealed if somebody caught him like the movie, he’d say that it wasn’t his. And would go to the store to buy it again instead of getting it delivered at work. While Seohyun revealed that she’d pretend not to see it and ask them to throw it out. The two were also asked about incidents that happened with the people who had a similar name as them. Jun Young revealed that there were three Jung Young in his class, and people used to call him by his last name. While Seohyun revealed that the only thing that had a similar name as her was ice cream.

The two also addressed the scene from their first date where Ji Hoo began barking at the people in the other room. Along with the scene when Ji Woo found Ji Hoo crying after the festival because she found him weird for liking BDSM. Talking about how expressing they are about their emotions, Seohyun revealed that she learned to control and express her emotions with time as she grew up. While Jun-Young revealed that he never expresses his emotions, he also revealed that he didn’t like the scene where Ji Woo confessed her feelings to Ji Hoo as they weren’t dating. So hearing the confession, he didn’t want to hurt anyone.
The Perilla Leaf Strikes Again…
Talking about their ideal confession, Jun Young revealed that he likes to make his confession clear. He asked Seohyun if she’d liked to be proposed alone or in front of a crowd. Seohyun prefers a direct confession too. She shared that she wouldn’t want to break a guy’s heart in any way if she’s not sure herself. Moving on to the second play, where Ji Woo asked Ji Hoo if he’d like her to step on him. Seohyun revealed that as she had to step on him for real, she tried it, making it less painful. Watching the scene where two were handcuffed together, Jun Young revealed that the struggle of getting out of the car was real.
The two even broke the handcuffs a lot of times. But in the end, the two perfected it with teamwork. Addressing the office scene where Ji Woo curses at Ji Hoo, the two talked about how fun it was. The two were also asked their thoughts on jealousy and the perilla leaf question. Seohyun revealed that she wouldn’t really feel jealous because of the leaf. But when it comes to separating shrimps, she should be the only one her partner should help. Jun-Young revealed that he would get jealous in the end.
