Sentinelle Plot Overview

Klara is in the French army currently serving in Syria as an interpreter for operation Chammal. She witnessed many traumatic scenarios which left her devastated. The very first of the situations adds a young man requesting his child to blow himself up with explosives hidden on his body on being recognized as a terrorist. This terrifying situation created a deep impact on Klara’s mind. She started having migraine headaches after this; hence she was transferred back to her home in Nice. She went to her mother for the moral support she needed along with her sister Tania. While patrolling, her trauma manifests itself into an impulse, and she is found lashing out at the suspects. She was prescribed some pain killers that are not sufficient to manage her condition and resorts to consuming more illegally.

On the club night, Tania separated from Klara to join a party. Tania joined the Russians and signaled Klara that she was leaving with them. Klara keeps an eye on Tania and tagged along to watch her dance with a giro and later has a one-night stand with her. Even after being so cautious, Tania went through the worst-case scenario. Klara is informed that Tania has been raped and savagely beaten. Tania couldn’t cope with anything that happened and went into a coma. Klara took up her own investigation and found the man, and took the photos of him from the CCTV footage. Side by side, the foremost investigator of the crime, Captain Muller, found out the suspect was Yvan Kadnikov, the son of Leonid Kadnikov.

Considering the respect of Leonid, a very influential Russian tycoon, the investigation is tough to continue. Both Yvan and his son have diplomatic passports and immunity, which makes it harder to act against them without a legal process. Yvan is hiding in his father’s villa at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Klara takes up the justice on herself and moves for a hunt of Yvan. She catches Yvan at a nightclub, but he refuses to even touch her sister. Meanwhile, his friends came to the rescue and got rid of her after a fight. Yvan is captured by Leonid’s bodyguard. There in the villa, Leonid admitted he was the one who raped her sister and not his son because he is homosexual. He left her with the bodyguards, who tried their best to drown her, but she fought back and managed to escape.

Meanwhile, Tania woke up from the coma and refused Klara despite her arguing with her to press charges against the assailant. Klara got distracted from Tania by a report in which Leonid claimed of returning back to Russia soon when she noticed a nurse rushing past her to Tania’s room. She noticed Tania having a Sudden embolism and suspected the attempt of murder on Tania’s life. On seeing Tania’s condition, she hurried after the nurse, and captain Muller informed Klara that Leonid had sent the assassin.

Klara then decided on Leonid and stole some weapons. When Leonid tries to bribe her, she pushes him off the banister, thinking he has died. Yvan stabbed Klara, and she shot him dead. Klara hurriedly moved away when the police unit arrived. Unfortunately, Leonid survived the fall. Three months later, Klara arrived in Dubai and killed Leonid. Going back to Nice, Klara observed Tania from a distance, who has recovered physically and mentally.
